Just wanted to congratulate you lot on a job well done. You were the best side we faced at home this season, and think Bruce's experience got you guys over the line in the end. Seem to have a good young side, just need a bit more pace up front and you'll hopefully hold your own in the Prem! Good luck
Cheers mate. There's no way I'd be able to post something like that on your board if you'd gone up. You're definitely the best side in the playoffs. I don't necessarily want you to win them because I kind of fancy keeping our Leicester pseudo-rivalry going, but Watford definitely deserve it most.
Yeah its deflating to say the very least, but In the end we weren't experienced enough for the big occasion. Can't really imagine what it was like for you guys to have to wait for our result to come in, 16 odd minutes injury time in the first half, crazy! In some ways I wish you would have put us out of our misery a few weeks ago, as today has been emotional draining on the fans and the players. Not overly confident about the playoffs really. Leicester will want revenge for a few weeks back, and they will be full of confidence after beating Forest. Its a bastard this league! ha
From what I've seen, I think it's the best second tier in Europe. It's so competitive - I saw a few German second tier games when I was out there, and it wasn't a patch on what the Championship has become. Best of luck for the play-offs.
The 20 minutes of Watford dominance before half time against Leicester was the best attacking football I've seen by any team this season. Better than the best of our football, although our first half against Millwall at home was close. That is saying a lot too, as despite the average fan who only ever watches us on Sky thinks we are ****, we have been outstanding at times this season, playing the best attacking football I've seen in 30+ years of following Hull. The Watford play was breath-taking. If your team had gelled earlier in the season (and you had some sort of defence) you'd have gone up as Champions.
