So Bruce could be in contention for Wolves...

Syd did a thread not long ago on managers failures....here's another example....sacked from one job...good pay-off...then into another....canny work for some...

    Still dirty Leeds though.

Sky Sports sources understand that Leeds United have appointed former Sheffield United and Queens Park Rangers boss Neil Warnock as their new manager.

The Whites parted company with Simon Grayson on 1st February and have taken the time to consider all of the options available to them.

Warnock, who was sacked by QPR in January, was touted as a leading contender for the role almost immediately, but there were a number of other candidates in the frame.

Mick McCarthy and Lee Clark, who have recently lost their jobs at Wolves and Huddersfield respectively, were also believed to be in the running.

Neil Redfearn was also in contention, but the Whites' caretaker coach has overseen two defeats in three outings since inheriting the reins.

As a result, Leeds have decided to turn to a man who boats considerable coaching experience.

Warnock is also a manager who has taken previous employers out of the Championship and into the Premier League, something the Whites will be looking to do under his guidance.

I hate Leeds and would be more than happy if they languished in the lower leagues for a few more years yet.

Yep, Warnock had a few weeks off now back to big pay day. Brucie I fancy for Wolves after his few months in the sun, again a 2-3 year contract with a big pay off if it goes wrong. Who knows, MickMack to Huddersfield with a big bonus for promotion.

Mick is a Yorkshire boy (Barnsley I think) so he might fancy going back 'home' to Yorkshire ..

tbf, Warnock was imo unfairly sacked. It was his first season in the premier league with QPR, the takeover happened at the wrong time and didn't get to bolster his squad as he would have liked, and staying up would have been the aim for this season. He was sacked before the xmas window, and when Hughes was brought in, he spent alot of money signing some decent players. Would Warnock of been able to get those players remains a mystery, but he wasn't given a fair crack of the whip.

Don't put too much on it. Warnock tends to get teams up through the playoffs and we'd need serious investment to get into the automatic positions (not gonna happen). Obviously happy with the appointment, but playoffs next season on this budget would be a great achievement for any manager.

Warnock getting the Leeds job makes a mockery of my theory that Lee Clark was sacked because he wanted to speak to Leeds about the job.

So I stand by my other theory , he's been caught shagging the Chairmans wife.
