The first year we were promoted I treated my self to a Panasonic BluRay recorder with twin HD tuners. In truth this was mainly for grandchildren / family but I was also looking forward to watching and archiving the games of my team. I enjoyed that in our first year but gave up under Hughes' tenure for well documented reasons! Now that we're back to some winning ways I was looking forward to watching the BBC HD quality FLS even though Claridge might have been in the mix. So now, as well as the incredibly poor content of the Ch 5 show, I have to put up with SD since Ch5 does not air the HD version on free view. BBC programmes in HD are superb since they are not compressed and then uncompressed by the Sky Box. At least I think that's right. Maybe someone even more geeky can explain further. What do others do to store digital media and protect images / movies etc for the future? Off to watch the highlights and fast forward until I get to them!
My Ferguson 405 line set only works when I stand on a chair holding the aerial in the corner of the room! The things we used to put up with for a sh*t picture...
All of it. Greece has a very special culture, history and way of life for a European country. I love the Islands. Been to many of them countless times on holidays, but now I've finished work hope to be able to spend more time there, though there will never be time or money to get to all the places I want to go to.
By the way RTID I've never had the time for backing up stuff - just rely on my hard own disc. The stuff I have had on various electronic gadgets haven't survived that long.
Agree. Just returned from a holiday on Paxos. Just superb. No large hotels, discos, lager louts, chavy Brits, hen / stag parties, inappropriate music in restaurants etc. Beautiful tranquility. Still very reasonable despite the economic mess they are in and an incredibly relaxed approach to life (which is partly why they are in a mess of course!). Second holiday on that island and probably not the last.
It's a double wammy on the taxes which they are adding to the bill. Not sure how much of that gets into their treasury!
It seemed more expensive to us, but a lot of that was from the weak NOK. They were also forced to increase VAT in the Islands to the same level as the mainland.
I never upload any updates when they are new. I always wait till they've ironed out the bugs ................. just the way I roll.
I'm told it is important to check your device supports Windows 10 before installing it. Some older Dell laptop's at least don't support it, and won't reboot if it is installed!
I thought XP was fantastic and saw no need for further development after that except to continue to boost MS's profit!!
