I had it 117-111. Ward was excellent all night long. Judges had 115-113 x2 118-110 I have no idea how 2 of the judges had it so close.
Manny and Floyd are both talented but only little squirts of piss, the giant heavyweight Russians are dull as **** and Haye was average at best..... As soon as they started doing pay per view, and staged weigh in tussles, it went a bit WWF for me.... They are all on roids and that stuff cyclists use to peddle for 10hrs , and cage fighting is just pathetic, they may as well have an ash tray and pint glass round
I don't think it's just the UK, the sport seems to be going through a flat period. There are still some very good fighters about, especially in North America.
Just read that the American judge had it 95-95 after ten rounds..... Why so down on Fury? i don't get it. No British level fighter gets as much of a hard time as Tyson.
even through my bias eyes froch only won four rounds at most .i used to be pretty good at scoring boxing matches but rarely get it right for the big fights these days.i just dont know what some of these judges are scoring. i think ward could be something special he won 110 out of 115 at amateur and took gold in athens.he seemed a class above froch last night imo. the only comment i really disagree with above is super norwich's assessment of cage fighting .mma is better then it has ever been ,it has maybe the most complete mma fighter of all time in jon jones as the light heavy champion and the top fighters fight each other all the time what more could you want from the sport.theres no one dodging anyone in the ufc ,if the fans want to see a fight it happens pretty soon.the sport is so much more technical than boxing and maybe some fans dont get the ground game yet but once they've watched it for a while and realise whats happening in the clinch or on the ground imo any boxing fan would be hooked

Ward was total class to watch. Froch knows he can't compete with Ward on any level now - time to look for another decent pay-day and then get out Carl.
