If this is true, I would love to go for him, especially at that price. Is it unrealistic he would even consider us?
    Is this our 'Stella signing'?
Go on MON, go for it.
I'd play him as a striker as well not a winger, he has always maintained himself, he is a striker, Wenger has always used him out wide.

Arsenal are understood to be willing to sell Theo Walcott before the close of the transfer window after talks over a new five-year contract broke down.

Walcott is in the final season of his current deal at Emirates Stadium and discussions regarding an extension have been ongoing for some time.

Arsene Wenger confirmed before the Gunners' opening game of the season against Sunderland earlier this month that the club are still trying to extend Walcott's deal.

However, the Arsenal manager also warned that 'when a player doesn't want to stay, you either force him or you let him go', with the club having already sold Robin van Persie and Alex Song this summer.

The future of Walcott is now set to be decided by Friday's deadline, with reports suggesting Arsenal will sell the England international for a fee between £12million and £15m if no new contract is agreed.

Manchester City are believed to be favourites to snap up the 23-year-old as Roberto Mancini tries to add to the solitary signing of Jack Rodwell.

Mancini is in the market for a new winger after Adam Johnson's sale to Sunderland and the failure to agree a fee with Swansea City for Scott Sinclair.

Liverpool, though, are also reported to be interested in Walcott, who has made over 220 appearances for Arsenal since joining from Southampton in January 2006.

Apparently wanted wages of £75,000 a week...

Now with Johnson in the wage structure I have no idea about, but is Walcott worth £75,000 a week?

Good player but as Arsenal fans have said, he is consistently inconsistent

The original kings clothes of footballers. Flatters to deceive more than he actually ever delivers imo. I heard he was after closer to £100,000 per week on talk ****e this morning.

    Not for me.

Kick and rush at its finest. AJ is a much better player bought for much less.

He's good, but if his demands are in that region he can bugger off. Can't see him coming here though with no CL footy on offer. About the same chance of silverware on recent form though :)

No thanks, not sure we need another winger after Johnson and McClean performed so well last night (albeit against lower league oppo).

I don't see the point, AJ has more end product anyway, we also have Sess, Mc, Seb....

If we're buying a midfielder it must be a dedicated CM playmaker, to release Sess in a free role behind Fletch.

As long as we get a LB, i'll be happy enough.

He's too one dimensional. Running at the goal he can be occasionally brilliant, but with his back to goal he's useless. £75,000 a week for an impact sub is just too much.
