Assuming chelsea go in for falcao do see this as a viable option. I would love for it to come true tbh.
Wages would be a problem for tores, even if Chelsea were will to take a big bit on the fee paid, he is probably on very high wagers.
No thanks. Torres has gone. Last season they made the excuse for him that he did not have the right players to give him the service he needs and Chelsea fixed that. He has Mata,Oscar and Hazard giving him the service and he has still looked poor. He is simply not the player he used to be and anyway I doubt he will take the wage cut needed to join us.
Unlikely - and I'm not sure Torres has got it anymore. Walcott to Liverpool with a straight swap for Suarez anybody ????
fair enough...i still think hes got in him however and feel wenger can bring out the best in him..hes done it for henry why not someone else (not on the same level obviously!)
2 years ago I would have loved Torres at Arsenal. Now he seems a poisoned chalice. Not worth the wages. Realistically, if the name Torres wasn't on his shirt, no-one would touch him based on his performances for the last 2 seasons.
Nope, we need to replace like with like. We need pace and skill. I'd rather stick with Ox, if Walcott leaves.
Well I want I keep Walcott but I do think Torres would rediscover is best form under Wenger if we did buy him.
All them hamstring injuries have ruined Torres. He simply does not have same burst of pace he used to have and the other parts of his game have been on the decline. Most of the Chelsea fans on here do not rate him and they want a new CF.
Walcott will be one of the best. All he has to do is just wait like Robin, like a lot of our forwards some just have got to wait there chance. Henry, Adebayor, Eduardo da Silva, van Persie, now Giroud ,Podolski and Walcott. remember Van Persie had been here from 2004 before Adebayor 06 and Eduardo 07 yes injuries and what not yes he was not a forwards than but he played left or right till he got that chance we need to keep him and if you look at his stats when he plays he is very consistent for us.
Why would you want Torres? He's had his best years and is average at best now, plus you have Podolski and Giroud. Torres wouldn't fit IMO Although Chelsea would be willing to take a hit on the fee, they lack forwards and Torres is on very high wages too.
Torres would do well for you, I think Arsene would now how to play him and get him back to how he was for us, I hope he find forms again, but prefer he do it back in Spain
His talent is undeniable and he is a prolific goalscorer. But I don't think he's liked by his teammates at Liverpool, look at the way nobody went over to celebrate with him when he scored a massive goal at Chelsea. Ultimately, I think he would cause more harm than good.
PISKIE, can you take some of those extra lines out from under your signature picture? There's a huge white space coming up under it on my computer.
