Doesnt mean we should sell him on the cheap. But they was all over priced when we signed them (not Bamba though obviously) and they are all on higher wages then they should so the only we can sell them is on cut price deals or other clubs wont be interested
Must admit there appears to be rather a bad smell about all of this ... My thoughts - for what it's worth Sol may not get on with NP, or NP may, at least, have indicated that Sol won't be an automatic choice at centre-back next season (particularly if he feels he can get Chester). Sol may therefore want out but on his terms as to where he wants to go - Turkey may be attractive both forr climate / lifestyle and in terms of the wages on offer. We can't force him to move elsewhare even if there are bigger fees being proposed - hence we might be stuck with an discontented player surplus to requirements but is still on very big wages - so better to take the hit on the fee Plus - we are making a £500k profit on the player
Clubs arent prepared to match both our asking price for player and the players wage demands. We have to bring the asking prices down so that they can afford or consider to meet the players wage demands If Bamba didnt sign that new contract in the middle of the season then i reckon we would of get a bit more for him because i bet he got a big pay rise out of it Another reason why Nigel might want to sell is to bring the wage bill down. And if Nigel still wants to bring it down further it could be the end of Paul Konchesky and Sean St. Ledger
I think the only high wage players Nigel will want to keep is Kasper Schmeichel and David Nugent. I bet Danns is on a decent wage as Rangers and Celtic offered him contracts
I´m guessing NP just wants rid of all the players that don´t feature in his plans & putting what some clubs will call silly prices on players will prevent that. I can see what people are saying but we don´t really need the cash. I liked SB but I ain´t NP & I don´t know his plans for next season so I guess I´ll just have to trust him & go with the flow.
odd that he is going for so little after featuring so heavily and winning the ACON, even Mills may bring a bigger price.
It a big earner off the books now. With Mills set to follow we just need to get rid of Beckford if we can find a buyer. If we can't find a buyer don't loan him. Just use him as a rotation player and someone to come off the bench and get a goal If we loan Beckford out it will be DJ Campbell all over again
