If Argentina and the UK go to war the Americans will side with whoever gives them the most trade because that is American politics. Not that it matters because we do have the equipment to bombard Beunos Aires without much trouble from Argentina coming back at us, for a start between our Type 45's and four Eurofighters plus the reinforcements from South Georgia we would have total air superiority.

Prove me wrong, not your usual rubbish... show me how exactly the Argentine invasion can successfully put their feet on Falkland ground.

As I understand it, the Falklands "belonged" to Britain before present day Argentina was even recognised as a country. So explain, when did this territory ever "belong" to Argentina? I'm always willing to learn so genuinely interested in your reply.

United States is probably the closest country to Hawaii , Falklanders voting were more than likely of British heritage , Hawaiian voters are more than likely of Hawaiian heritage .. Did you CHECK out the world map including ocean floor yet ........ mate

No, the United States really isn't the closest to Haiwaii at all, by your logic of the ocean floor I suppose Eire belongs to the UK and in turn the UK belongs to France? Your argument has more holes than the Belgrano <laugh>

Also the fact there are so little people of Argentine descent combined with the fact we never kicked out any indigenous Argentines when we got the islands should give anyone with a decent IQ an inkling as to why Argentina has no claim. The reason for that is Argentina never settled there, and if we are using your logic of decendancy then by your logic I suppose Wales claims ownership of all the UK and most of Northern France? <laugh>

I haven't but I must assume that the surface of the earth both under and above the oceans is one mass so what next ?, pretty poor argument there , what about handing the Channel Isles to the French ,they're closer to France than the UK , I asked Dai this question with no response but how far is too far ?

Cop out boys , my point about hawaii is its out in the middle of nowhere . and itwas Hawaiian descendent taking the vote . Any "Falkland " referendums were taken with mostly British desendents . Britain isn't the only nation that should feel shame about "Keeping lands " that they shouldn't have but its the one thats the topic .

You should be proud for not "kicking out " Argentian " descendants out of the Falklands , islands that are very close to the mainland, after the long , greedy voyage was over project ..

The USA annexed Hawaii against the wishes of the majority of the population of the islands

Annexation—the Territory of Hawaii (1898–1959)
After William McKinley won the presidential election in 1896, Hawaiʻi's annexation to the U.S. was again discussed. The previous president, Grover Cleveland, was a friend of Queen Liliʻuokalani. McKinley was open to persuasion by U.S. expansionists and by annexationists from Hawaiʻi. He met with three annexationists from Hawaiʻi: Lorrin Thurston, Francis March Hatch and William Ansel Kinney. After negotiations, in June 1897, Secretary of State John Sherman agreed to a treaty of annexation with these representatives of the Republic of Hawaii.[72]
The treaty was never ratified by the U.S. Senate. Instead, despite the opposition of a majority of Native Hawaiians,[73] the Newlands Resolution was used to annex the Republic to the United States and it became the Territory of Hawaii. The Newlands Resolution was passed by the House June 15, 1898, by a vote of 209 to 91, and by the Senate on July 6, 1898, by a vote of 42 to 21.

There desendents did , and on the islands ... cop out...... not when it became a state welshscoucer... I dont like what any nations did out of there real jurisdiction . United States , France England .. the works , but the Falklands is different to me because of the closeness to the mainland . We have an island in the St Lawrence river in the middle of canada that france owns ..
