    Liverpool Record in 2019

    City Record in 2019

It pretty simple really. 4 draws in otherwise pretty stellar record. If LFC win all remaining games we will have won 9 in a row

For city to have to win 13 in a row just to get a 1 point win at the end is pretty special effort you have to admit.

they have taken a 6 point lead v the "top 6" and frankly 3 points of that is form one eithad game against us. The other top 6 club have frankly folded largely agasint city. The only blemish was that away loss to chelsea they had.

Spurs record in top 6 is abysmal. utd's is only there to laugh at TBH. Utd's only win in top 6 was v spurs which says it all about spurs i guess.

I said a few days ago that the rest of the top 6 being **** hasn’t been helped us this year. We’ve failed to beat a few of them which is our own fault, but none of them have put up any fight against city which has let them to keep ahead. If the rest of top 6 had been better and taken more points from ourselves and city, it might be more than a 2 horse race but may also have been more likely to win it ourselves.

We took one point for our games with them ourselves so we didn’t exactly lead by example.

True but we made them drop 2 points as well. If 2 other teams had got 1 draw 1 defeat that 4 more dropped points. Small margins but the title is that close.

Like I said, we didn’t do great against city or the other top 6 so yes it’s our own fault but you’d hope that the rest of them would take something. In the 8 games against the rest they got 21/24 points. Pretty sure that’s one of best records you’ll see across a whole season.

in the end if you look at our record

and if you say 30-7-1 as our games record

and you look back to prior records....

thats will be the third highest total ever

    behind
    City last year 100
Potentially city this year on 98

    and ahead of
    Chelsea 2004/05 95 points (29-8-1)
    Chelsea 2016/17 93 (30-3-5)

so proud losers. record losers in fact <laugh>

What this says is if we end up on 97 we will break all records for being losers.. or runner sup or whatever a troll/wum would say.

The credit would have to go to city for delivering a monumental effort at the end of season to win 13 in a row to take title by 1 point.

Also i just want to point out that last year City's record was 8-0-2 in the top 6 mini league. thats 24 points so they have actually IMPROVED on last year by defending like mad at anfield.

one might say Pep won the title by playing antifootball (his favourite insult) at the club he fears most :)

Yup said this after city united game. If we win all 3 along with city, we’ll have the 3rd highest points tally ever since changed to 38 game season, just unfortunate that city in the last 2 years would have had numbers 1 and 2.

We can’t justify someone getting 98 points in a season

    Agreed. You va
It’s an incredible record and highlights their dominance. The fact that we are only one point behind is amazing tbh. At the beginning of this season, I predicted that City could drop 10 points and still win the league. I was mostly right....all bar Liverpool will finish well under 90 points. We have massively improved whatever happens in the next 3 games.

The draw against Leicester is the game that I realised that you need an awful lot of luck to win the league - horrific weather that slowed us down.....what I’d give for thise two points now......and my son was at the west ham game the jinxing little sh*t.....we didn’t deserve points there. There aren’t many other key moments....

The Mane post against City and Salah being taken out with no red card.....

The last minute equaliser by Arsenal....how the f*** did we draw that game?

City have simply been better so far....a point better to be precise so there’s not a lot in it at all. Small margins indeed.

Not to mention that MCGuire equalised grrrr :) but city will have games where they can say the same I would imagine :(

the point has to be: city do not have 98 points and we do not have 97... with 3 games to go anything could happen.. in theory. the mostly likely outcome given city's poistion now is they simply win all 3.

city have worse! they let us equalise even though they retook lead. but they led at newcastle and coughed up all 3 points.

If we'd drawn with city btw: 30-8-0 invincible season possible and could win it on 99 points to citys 95. or in other words win it by 4 so party last day.
