    He's not a natural no 9 - didn't say he can't play that role ..

I don't care where he plays as long as he performs like that!

Was he? I thought he was still involved in everything good we did going forward all game, combined with tracking back and working hard.

Could he be the new talisman of our attack?

  8. He played alright in the second half but his performance levels did drop off. He still defended from the front and got involved, just not as well as in the first half. Maybe he was tiring? Or Arsenal stopped him since he was the danger man?

arsenal changed how they played and took over the game from about 30mins to 70mins.

firmino as a result was not as effective and neither was the res tof the team.

I think it was the dynamics of the game - Arsenal took more control and our attack saw less of it. But when he did get on the ball, his passing was quick and incisive.

I said before this game to astro's comments about 4 points that I'd be absolultely delighted with 4 points out of this week.

So far we have 1. I'm very happy we got one... so its still possible to get 4 from 6... roll onthe weekend.

  12. There were a few times when he was looking for the quick pass or a one-two etc but wasn't getting it back. He misses Coutinho imo

That's what happens when you have Lallana and Ibe next to you!

Once Coutinho and Sturridge are fit, it will transform our attack.

no they spotted our full backs playing narrow and simply went wide, thus we could not get the same press effectiveness and then they pull the full backs out to defend and cut toure apart.

It took wenger 20-25 minutes to get it sorted.

In that time we got 2 goals and ****ing flogged two. if it had been 2-0 at that time i would have wanted lfc to change it up to counter... 4-5-1 was possible to stop that wide play.

  15. I'd have been very happy with one before the game. I am happy with one after the game. But there is a slight disappointment that yet again we've dominated a game against a better opponent but failed to win. Much like the last game against Arsenal, we simply didn't take our chance.

ehh no.... it won't. half the time coutinhos passes as wild and unrealistic and sturrdige doesn't pass it. he's looking for the quick pass.

  17. Ibe is great but he (and Lallana) hang on to the ball too long. Neither help a player like Firmino.

Ibe tried too hard in the end last night. He was looking to beat his man every time, it's too predictable. Especially when he was mainly going down the outside too.

  18. Half the time is fine, players are suppose to mix things up. Its less predictable.

Firmino didn't go off at half time... Go back a page and look at the picture someone posted of the team celebrating Joe Allens late goal, you see Firmino there celebrating too. <ok>
