I fail to see how anyone else could possibly get it. Silva no chance. Emery is impressive but not as impressive as finishing top 4. Arteta good, but is taking Arsenal from 5th to 2nd with that squad and bottling it in their last 8 games really that impressive? It's a good job he's done but as impressive as taking a team with ****ing Willock, Longstaff and Murphy, with Dan Burn at left back to the top 4? Eddie how has gotten the best off what many would consider to be mid table level players and gotten the best out of them. Who in this side would most people consider a CL quality player? Trippier? Isak? Bruno? Who else is would walk into a top 4 side usually?
In regards to Pep, I mean... with a squad with like a billions pounds worth of talent in it, insane squad depth, is finishing 1st with that more impressive than finishing top 4 with ****ing Longstaff, Willock, Murphy and Almiron?
He has to be manager of the season. But is this the limit for him. Can he take it further is what I am interested in. This season has been brilliant.
It's an interesting question, as the skills needed to manage the very best players, as well as keeping them happy when they're being rested for midweek games etc are not the same as coaching more mid-level players to be the best that they can be. I'm confident that Eddie has the skillset in his locker to cope with doing new things. He comes across as a very kind bod, but also a determined and respected leader.
