The next 10 days or so are so important in the context of this season. Both on and off the pitch, reports are coming in that we could possibly make a loan move for kaka, which i would support whole-heartedly especially if nasri goes, i would also like us 2 bring in a centre back name ssuch as ogbonna and dann have been heavily linked with arsenal and to be honest i would take both if we were given the chance. We desperately need a result on wednesday and sunday to lift the spirits, but we are going thru a crisis at the moment with injuries and suspensions with song's being the one that i am most angry about as it was needless 2 say the least. But there are some bright sparks, i thought that frimpong was excellent yesterday, he would have come through last year with wilshere but had a cruciate ligament injury, but he is everything we have been looking for, he waa comanding presence he organised the midfield and protected the back 4 very well and was very comfortable on the ball and passed the ball well, also when he goes forward with the ball he is hard to stop. Vermalen was colossal yesterday he virtually marked carrol out of the match and was a comanding presence, we also seem 2 have a keeper that is reliable in scezney. And we have players like song gervinho traore gibbs frimpong wilshere djourou and kolscieny to come back from injury. So when you look at it that way then we do have reason to be positive, and those who are calling for wenger to go are deluded and it is a waist of your energy trying to argue with these people.
Wenger has to admit his current project has failed. He needs to bring in 2-3 experienced top class players within the next 10 days. If he cant see that then he obviously no longer the right man for the job. I love the guy he's been fantastic for Arsenal but after listening to his recent interviews I am starting to worry that he's lost touch with reality. We will struggle against Udinese and lose to United.
I think Wenger has done brilliantly (up until now) but I do question the policy behind the players we've let go over the last few seasons. Gallas Clichy Flamini Diarra Gilberto Hleb Fabregas (Nasri) Eduardo Adebayor Currently, nearly all of those would walk straight into our team
I was just thinking about Flamini. He'd be a great signing for us. Experienced in Italy and in England. Versatile, can also play as a fullback. Intelligent, good on the ball, decent passer. Wouldn't cost the earth to get from AC Milan. If he had never played for Arsenal we'd all be calling for him.
Gallas: wanted 2 year contract at 33yr flamini: wanted more money but got offered contract too late Diarra: too impatient gilberto: i wouldnt of let him go Hleb: head turned by barca wanted to go Cesc: wanted to go home Eduardo: lost his form, would of never got it back if stayed ade: wanted money more than playing same with clichy
