ok, i think i said it before on another thread, but how about a couple of larger tvs scattered round the food bit so that we dont have to look at a tiny crt. coming up to the time of the year when you go to your seats and it'll be p1ssing down
We need a feed into the big screen to be able to do this, when games are on Sky we switch it over when they show replays. I agree goal replays would be a nice touch all season round.
I ticked the beer quality box, but my biggest growse would be SE Trains, and the variable length of trains after the game going back to London - 8 and 10 car trains fill the plaform nicely, and are needed to cope with the crowds, but 5 car '376' trains stop at the front of the platform while 4 car '465' trains stop at the back of the platform, hence half the people on the platform are in the wrong place, not that they'd be able to all get on anyway... And who says all Charlton supporters are anoraks
My Dad and I joke about drinking a pint of soap before the game. Sorting out some kind of provision for smokers would be good too. Going for a pee at HT results in eau de ashtray for the rest of the day.
I've gone for quality of beer. Nothing beats a frosty cold one, but it never has that ''quenching'' experience.
I sat in the east stand for the first game of the season against Wycombe and the stewards let me have a half time smoke by the stairs. I thought it was normal/allowed, but only when loads of others started walking over they told us all to leave
I usually love a good old moan, but the only thing on the list that really bothers me is the lack of half time entertainment. RE food and drink, it is overpriced and poor quality, but I come to expect that from football grounds, and if I'm hungry then its generally just a tray of chips from the chip shop post-match for me
I put the price and quality of food but in reality it's such a rip-off that I go to the chippie outside the ground and never buy food or drink inside the ground any more. As WWOCB says you expect that from football grounds now.
Is half time entertainment such a big thing? It's only 15 minutes, and by the time you've had a piss, checked the scores on the puny tv screens, and moaned to the people around you, 15 minutes is nearly up anyway. If you want to buy some food or drink you'll spend the whole of the 15 minutes queueing anyway!
Remember the abs on that redhead cheerleader at The Daggers last season - pretty much the highlight of the entire afternoon, if not the entire season...
