We all love going to the Valley to watch some of the best 'value for money' football that London can offer but what, if anything, spoils you enjoyment on a saturday afternoon? You can vote for as many as you want You never know, somebody from the Club [Paul] may pass our comments on to the Chief Executive. AllHell PS The vast vast vast majority of Addicks do not want to hear racist/sexist/homophobic comments made at the ground so can this not be a thread just about this issue please
The very small seats in the east stand. My mate and I are, shall we say, a little chunky. It's a squeeze. The woman in row w behind us who talks complete bollox for 90 minutes in a shrill high pitched voice that health and safety should really do something about. the traffic getting out. Otherwise it's highly enjoyable. Especially this season.
The traffic getting out I can relate to. That set of traffic lights at the multplex on the way to and from the tunnel causes my blood pressure to rise. Other than that I can't think of anything to complain about, other than the fact it has been a league one ground for to long, but we seem to be doing something about that
i've gone for price. hard times lately, cant be adding another £20 a game to the outgoings. even purchased a flask. something i never ever thought i would do as its "what old people do". was also thinking about the valley gold thing. why dont they let you pay what you can rather than the fixed tenner per month (£120 in all). am sure most people would sacrifice a fiver a month more easily
Was thinking the same about the bar in North Block 'Cross???' whatever, why not have a limited number (100?) of match tickets at say £5 per person per match, then if you take somebody and want a comfortable drink b4 the game you pays your money on the door? It's always half empty prior to games!
my only other suggestion for improvement, was that around the bar areas they should have posters or canvas prints with pictures of past players and what they did. bit like a charlton based wiki. my mate who's a season ticket holder now only moved to london 2 years ago and didnt really follow football before. dont get me wrong, he loves going and all, but he didnt know who clive mendonca was when i was talking about him flogging his medals. might help people become more interested. would also make it look better than just girders and concrete walls.
In the North Stand Upper aren't there a few posters with the club history on? More of that in the West and East would go down well definitely
Lack of staff serving food really, half time always seems to take ages to get a drink or something unless you leave before the half time wistle
Somebody should definitley raise this as an idea to the club, genius idea pal - I'd certainly go for it...
started off with lack of goal replays (didn't they have this for one game a few months ago?) on big screen as big bugbear but price of food has made an impressive run into the lead
How about the Club organising 'consortia' for people who can not afford £10pm? Say 2 people at £5pm or 3 people at £2pm OR more cost effective .... 3 people at £24pa or 2 people at £60pa .... then they could split any winnings or pool winnings to pay for future years memberships? Please note - The above idea is now ©AllHell 2012
As a counter to the excellent thread about things that we don't like about match days, are there any additional treats?. For me it's the fish and chip shop pre-match. Can't remember the name but if you come out of the train station turn right and walk up the hill. Don't turn down towards the valley but keep going about five hundred yards up the hill and it's on your right. Best cod and chips around. Marvellous. Explains why I'm too big for my small seat!
i think the guy in ladbrokes in the north is always a good laugh. can gage from the tone he makes when he looks at your slip whether you've made a crap bet or not
This is not designed to be a 'boo hiss boy' thread but I am a Director of a Company in Sussex and the general rule is that it is between 5 and 7 times more expensive to get new customers than to retain existing ones So, keep your customers happy and you stay in business it may seem strange but we are more interested in any negative comments than positive ones.
