It's not so much that they are hard, although they could be,but what a run-in in terms of the mix of relegation and top four significance:

    Home: Sunderland,Chelsea

    Away:United,Norwich,Wigan

How do you predict the points from those?I would say in the range of 0-10

They really needed to beat fulham yesterday to pull clear what with their remaining home Games
I thought they would be safe but now think they wont be going into that Wigan game

Home games - I would imagine they have a chance of 3 big points against Sunderland but may change my mind after the derby game with the Skunks later today. Nothing against Chelsea but could pull off a surprise point.

Away - United - Big fat zero, Norwich - maybe a point but as we do not lose many at home, 1 is the most I see them getting, Wigan - too hard to call, can go either way.

I would go for a maximum of 4 points before the Wigan game

It's far too early to say because we could go into the Man City game on 40+ but this season has got the makings of another multi team fight on the last day.Could look something like this:

    Norwich 39
    Villa 39
    Stoke 38
    Sunderland 37
    Wigan 37

It is possible that Wigan may not even get another point before until their last game with Villa. I can perhaps see a draw or maybe two in there but would be quite surprised tbh

It's a tough looking run in for them

    Man City v Wigan - 0
    West Ham v Wigan - 1 maybe
    Wigan v Tottenham - 0
    West Brom v Wigan - 0
Wigan v Swansea - 1 - probably their best chance of a win but going for a draw
    Arsenal v Wigan - 0
    Wigan v Aston Villa

Thai you never know with Wigan, look at last season
But they were poor vs qpr last week
I can see us drawing our 3 home games and being on 38 going into the city game. I hope not though

All eyes on stoke and Sunderland today

I'd take that scenario as we would be safe whatever given its villa vs Wigan

This is why I am not so sure they will be taking points from most of the games, they just don't look like turning it round as they have in the passed - but as you say, you never know.

You can never write Wigan off, they had tough fixtures last season and picked up points against the big teams none of us expected. Villa I think will be ok, they're starting to get points in every game now and looking more of a team.

Hope Stoke lose, and I think maybe Sunderland losing will be better for us.

Definately in the range of 0-15 :)

I think after beating Fulham yesterday they will be fine now. They have found a bit of form at just the right time.

It looks set to be a fascinating run in. If we play as well against Reading and Stoke as we did yesterday, we could already on 41 points when we meet Villa. This could make the result pivotal for them, not so much for us. I would enjoy that game alot! Despite that shambles of a result yesterday, things seem brighter for us today than before the game.

Not sure I agree with things being brighter. We still lost 3-1. Yes perhaps a better performance than late but we a still in a relegation scrap with only 1 win in 16. Lets see how today's goes as if Sunderland and Stoke get something our moods will all drop a notch.

For what it is worth I do think we should get over the line, but to assume we will play like we did against Arsenal is easy to say but often does not happen. Play like we did against Spurs first half and yes we would be Ok and why we cannot and get more performances like the first 30 minutes against Swansea is beyond me. Can only think that the manager is the issue. 1 win in 16 is not acceptable.

Before the Arsenal game, a lot on here were talking about minimising the damage to our goal difference, because Arsenal were in good form. After that excellent defensive performance, and Ruddy to come back, I think there'll be a lot of confidence that we can keep Reading out, and hopefully score ourselves.

It's amazing how key the Reading game is really, win and the pressure is all but off, a draw and we'll still all be nervous, but a loss would be catastrophic. I just hope the crowd respond well, especially if we go behind.

As for Villa's run-in, I reckon 5 points from Wigan, Sunderland and ourselves, 39 points and, disappointingly, safety.
