Apparently Villa failed to win in their last 10 games of the season. That is a rubbish record and they really deserved to get relegated and given their run in QPR deserved to stay up and so did Bolton.

We were all over Villa today and if we didn't hold back we could have easily scored a few more today. But Given has to receive a lot of credit for how he performed today, some fantastic saves, particularly from Howson in the first half although that may have been going wide.

Credit to their fans though who were great and even celebrated our first goal with us!

They were pretty ****e today, we cut them apart, Villa have been cruising for a while, without Bent's goals they are useless

Someone told me they are over 100m in debt and the owner is trying to cut the cloth. Sounds like a great team to be involved with.

Completely agree - they were up there with Bolton as the worst team I've seen at Carrow Road this year. Did enjoy the banter with their fans both at the game and before and afterwards in the pub. Without Given and with a bit more Holt-esque finishing it could have been a rugby score.

I know you can only beat what's in fornt of you but I thought that the boys played really well and I was very impressed with our centre halves - Bennetts positional sense and distribution were superb and Rusty was calm and assured. I've said on previous posts that I can see him keeping his place at centre half rather than at RB.

i disagree wonky. villa were WORSE than rubbish. if it wasn't for shay given this season they'd have come rock bottom. they were truly hopeless and had we wanted it enough, the scoreline could have been 6 or 7.

<ok> Given was immense, but so was Ruddy. It's a shame we really didn't go for it, not that we didn't try, but 7-0 would have been nice! At one stage I was thinking we could relegate Villa despite the huge gap in goal difference!

How the hell have their fans put up with that load of crap all season? Easily the worst team to tread on our pitch this year.
Mcleish must have been the most clueless manager in the top flight, but he did have a ex Norwich manager to help him, who was also clueless.
Shame to see a club like that in such a state.
