Poor in my opinion. Delap and Diao in the midfield at home, absolute tripe - this was and ideal opportunity to let Palcious play with another footballing CM! TP has rotated Shawx and Walters (I assume for a rest - which makes sence) but plays Delap - AGAIN! Listening to it in the radio and we sound awful, not 1 shot on target in the 1st half at home and something like 35% possesion - WTF? Anyone clarify what the formation is, because one wide man leaves us unbalanced! 1-0 down at home, with very little creativity and possesion, sounds like we are continueing what we have been doing for most of the season! Hope TP sorts them out and gets a decent balanced team out there for the 2nd half!
Absolutely garabge to watch and I sat there feeling like Pulis had mugged me again. Diao cannot pass forward save his life, it's either backwards or sideways he is as poor as they get and Delap wants putting out to grass!
Smither's I went tonight and Waddo is right... UTTER GARBAGE IMHO.. we nicked a pt and WHY did Delap have to play and NOT Etherington. He did eff all all night, never made a decent run into their half IMO, IF Etherington had we could have won that game. Palacios was very good I thought but he needs another decent player alongside him. Pennant what he hell is wrong with the guy? Too many times he didn't ******* cross the ball when he should have?? the ONE time he did, Jones' buried it! UNLESS T.P. STOPS being so bloody negative I think I will stay at home and watch the rest of the Europa on t.v. No width, crap midfield AGAIN and it needs sorting in Jan.
We need a decent back-up for Matty, so he can get a rest every once in a while. I'm sure there are kids in the under 18s who are better left wingers than Rory Delap!
A few comments on here about being garbage to watch! But is that not how about 90% of our performances this season have been? We needed a point & we got a point, without playing basically 7-8 players that will start this weekend v Everton. So lets hang fire & see what happens Sunday.
I understand what you say, but I bet my house Delap plays! So some players get rotated and some dont? I would just love to see pur best eleven!
I would geniunely really like to know the rationale from Pulis WHY he continually plays Delap and occassionally Daio. There MUST be a reason??
I thought Diao must be on a retainer to be playing! To be fair he was as good as anybody else in 1st half but that is not saying much. Delap well your guess is as good as
