http://www.forbes.com/profile/vichai-srivaddhanaprabha/ Vichai's net wealth has risen dramatically recently. He's gone from the 37th richest man in Thailand to 11th with a net wealth of $1.6b USD. The man in 37th place now is worth $405m USD
That jump doesn't seem right. 240m to 1.6bn in a year! Its time to face facts, we are owned by Thailands leading drug baron. Might be something to do with the fact hes so close to the King of Thailand that has something to do with this gain. Either way, £30m is pocket money for him, long may our club be owned by the Srfjhvdjwjkufhdfkja family
Didn't realise we were paying Mills that much?! on a serious note, he has some serious wedge so as soon as we've found our FFP loophole we'll be laughing
The owners can get around FFP by using King Power to hide investment. They can sponsor the team bus for X amount of million. They can invest more into the club through their current deals of shirt and stadium sponsorship. It just depends on whether they are prepared to invest more
Dont think they can use those options, but am pretty sure they will have their legal team looking at the situation.
I'm not 100% sure but I think as long as we can prove the money is real (In the bank and not borrowed or imagined) they can't stop us from sponsoring whatever we want; unless they bring in rules that say the max sponsorship is £xxx amount for a football club. 100m sponsorship on the tea trolley LOL
As Nigel has spent the last few weeks banging on about the FFP rules, it seems fairly obvious that you're not going to attempt to circumvent them. Considering Man City and PSG are already under investigation by UEFA, it's hardly a surprise.
I'd give it up as a bad job mate. Proud thinks that their owners can buy a chicken and mushroom pie from the club for £30,000,000 and UEFA will think it's ok as long as they have the cash up front. He just doesn't get it. Obviously.
Leicester are the only Championship team that hasn't added to their squad so far this transfer window - as opposed to Birmingham and Blackburn that have bought in 8 players each
I'd rather not bring anyone in than buy players like Stephen Bywater, Jermaine Easter and Steve Morison.
That may be the case but the Leicester boys need not worry. The Thai bloke with the long name is about to buy a hot dog, a curly wurly and a bottle of vimto from the club canteen. Lionel Messi here we come. The world according to Proud!!!
Will all be good squad players - Morison already proven at this level and already scored 40 goals in his 95 appearances for us. Bywater is a very good 2nd choice keeper and Easter will be a sub - you forgot to add our other signing - Lee Martin, who has looked very good in pre-season! Our team is already looking a lot stronger than the one that took 6 points off of you last season
