I won a bottle of it in a draw at work but I have never had it. My question is how does it taste?

Is it good wine or is it cheap vinegar?

Ah but sometimes you can't beat a good bottle of wine.

As it is a prize in a draw I am guessing this wine will be cheap vinegar.

    Rose wine is an abomination.

I took your advice and got some practice in drinking red wine ... Campo Viejo Rioja ... I have a sore head today but it went down pretty well!

You need more practice. You don't get sore heads or hangovers from red wine after a while. <ok>

I had a nice wee Grenache last night.

Will be on the Rioja tonight and going over to hers for ma dinner and ma hole. Good times.

I'm just getting into it. Quite enjoyed the drinking session though, was far less gassy than beer and more civilised than spirits. I'll keep at it <ok>

    Any recommendations for a bottle?

i can only drink wine with a meal, cant stay on it all night unless its 3 glasses max.

Has to be red, cannot stand white or rose.

Try valpolicella (sp) if u can gb

Normally I like a full bodied rich red with a meal, you really can't beat it, but sometimes I like to mince around the house with a cheeky wee rosé, sometimes the wife gets a bottle and I end up tanning 3/4 of it.

Try them all, basically. Pay attention to the grape/type of the wine and learn what you like. For example, Cabernet's and Merlot's I find to be a bit heavy but I'll drink them if they're blended with something else like Syrah (Shiraz).

At the moment I'm choosing Rioja's, Tempranillo's, or Pinot Noir's. I grabbed the Grenache in Tesco last night cos I hadn't seen one for a wee while. But it changes all the time cos you start fancying something else.

    It's a highly enjoyable learning process. <ok>

Haven't drunk rosé since I was a student. Usually the Grenache or the classic Mateus.

Stick to red wine these days.
