    I am sorry to inform you all that 1980EasterRoad has passed away.

    ER was a very well respected poster on this forum who contibuted to serious debates as well as always showing a good sense of humour within all of his posts.

    Please leave your condolences and fondest memories of ER below.

    The bronchitis finally got him. There was an unfortunate incident this morning as the body was being transferred from the storage area to the hearse. The undertakers' is situated at the top of a steep hill. As one of the trainees wheeled the coffin out on a gurney, he tripped and the coffin accelerated away down the hill. It rolled through the open doors of the chemist shop situated at the bottom of the hill. As it passed the counter, the lid swung open and ER sat up. 'Excuse me,' he said to the startled assistant. 'Have you got anything to stop ma coffin?'
