    It has to be said that this weekend is a very special one, 70 years ago we were just coming out of the most devastating war we have been involved in.

    Just want to give my thanks to every veteran (and their families) of the wars that have given us the ability to have elections freely, and for giving us our way of life.

    I salute you all !

    Today over clydach we had planes in formation and pulling stunts, whoever organised that, all I can say is my daughter loved it, and it was class

    They were over Gower around Lunch time too, (the poor part)...............................<cheers>

    not sure where I stand on this tbh..........apart from being devastated at the waste of so many lives on all sides.

    Yes war is waste mate can't disagree, but this war was one that had to be won at all costs. The alternative would have been devastating. The wars since have been mostly about money and resources like oil, now most of those could have been avoided imo

    jager I agree dude....this war (the 1st) brought chemical weapons (what sick nations would ever consider this init)...poor buggers didn't stand a chance....a vile war played out by the privileged on a board game set while the middle working and lower classes played it out in the mud the flesh and the rats...........how the other half live hey (excuse the pun) <laugh>
