I can hardly be bothered to do a report on this match because I'm very disappointed at the final result. Basically we should have won this by a country mile and once again our bogey side managed to upset the party.

It isn't as if we played badly this time. A number of players had better games tonight than they have recently. Bobby Reid being one. We just could not do anything much right in front of goal and their keeper earned his wages for sure. He pulled of a number of saves that were pretty good. We could also have lost it as well and Luke also pulled of a couple. R Reid looks like a broken man these days. Every time the ball went away from him his head went down and he looked lost. Sheridan needs to rest him no matter what. Reid is clearly not fit.

We didn't lose a position so nothing much lost in play off terms. We could and should have had 5 points on Luton however and not the 3 we have.

The play-offs by a thousand cuts.....it is a bit like a slow death isn't it.

If we make it....we will get either Bury or Southend in our semi.

Unfortunately Wycombe W are just hanging in there for the third automatic place.......I would rather meeting them than Bury, who did a good job beating Shrewsbury 1-0.

As you say sensible,Reuben Reid hasn't properly recovered from his injury.....but even a struggling Reid is better than any of our fringe players....which is a worry.

We have 3 very difficult games ahead and will not be easy but surely we should be able to get 4pts, even another win should see us through with our superior goal difference.
Yes Plym would love to avoid Bury in the semi but then again would think all previous form goes out the window for the playoffs.
I guess more sleepless nights are on the way but for more positive reasons at last!

They shouldn't be difficult games though HP. Carlisle and Tranmere should be 6 pts if you look where they are and that's even taking into account they are fighting for their existance. We were a tad unlucky with last nights efforts in fairness and on reflection but we just aren't killing off teams which is worrying. I absolutely still have my doubts about being in the playoffs at all.

Agree your comments sensible, I started a match report last night but gave up due to lack of enthusiasm (and I was tired!)

It was a match that I enjoyed more than most, other than the result. To be fair we 'battered them 1-1'. We definitely did play well in large parts and Bobby (for me) had a good game; Reuben has had it and probably needs to be rested for sat, he can always be brought back for the last two. Unusually I actually agree with the manager's post match comments.

Apart from the result the only thing that wound me up was the small number of people booing both at half time and full time-what are they on?. It obviously wound Hartley up judging by his gestures to the Lyndhurst. I have no idea what some people expect when they go to 4th division football-I go to be entertained and have a laugh with the people sat around me in Block 11. Sometimes the entertainment on the pitch is missing, but booing a team in 7th and drawing at both half and full time is just embarrassing.

PS even the ref was better than average if a little weak.

Onwards and upwards(or at least onwards and maintaining our position).

PPS i expect one win and one draw will do it.

Just had a look at the beeb football site at tonights match Burton (top) v Carlisle (22nd). Stats read Burton 20 shots and 10 corners with 67% possession versus 2 shots 2 corners and 33% possession. Who's winning........Carlisle 1 - 0 at the moment unbelievably. Reminds me of last nights Argyle stats. Just goes to show it ain't what you've got it's what you do with it.

Thanks guys, sounds like a match we should've won but at least the performance was better so not all doom and gloom. I've got a feeling we'll nick a win tomorrow so come the Tranmere match we'll have a chance to guarantee our playoff spot before the last day trip to Shrewsbury which would be a horribly tense affair if we needed to get a point or three.
