Just been reading this page: http://www.newcastleunited.us/2011/...clubs-where-newcastle-united-fans-gather.html

Interesting to see so many places through the US where American supporters gather, and plenty of foreign blogs and so on too.

There's even a New York supporters group with almost 200 members. I think I've managed to spot a single 'SAFC USA' group for the entire United States which has about 80 members. Teehee.

They'll drink Brown Ale, I guarantee it. They'll probably call it 'Newcastle' but it will be Brown Ale nevertheless.

What's the NY forum? Should invite some of them over here. Reinforce our 'special relationship'....

Aye, I've been in Legends, right opposite empire state building on 33rd street. I spent time in New York over this NYE, we lost 3-1 vs. the scouse twerps. Passionate set of lads.

My drinking hole for the Toon games is the Richmond arms on Richmond avenue in Houston. Getting up at 8-9AM for kick off at 9-10AM was a killer on a weekend.
However, I'm spending several weeks working in the UK, before jetting off to Houston again in April. Hope to get to a few games if I ever get chance...

Watched the Man Utd game in Legends NYC last season, great craic with both ex-pats and American Toon supporters. Was made to feel very welcome. To be honest the vast majority of supporters we spoke to were from the West end of Newcastle.

I'm one of the three Americans behind that site, newcastleunited.us - Newcastle United is catching on here as an alternative to glory hunting with Man U/Arsenal. Yes, we drink Newcastle Brown Ale, as sort of a badge of belonging, but some of us (including me, I'm afraid) aren't that crazy about it as beer, especially here in my hometown of Milwaukee, the beer capital of America. I prefer something stronger and hoppier.

When Newcastle United was touring the US this summer we posted an article that got a lot of views from England about Newcastle's growing popularity in America, which you can find here, complete with a photo of our NUFC tailgate party outside the stadium in Kansas: http://www.newcastleunited.us/2011/07/newcastle-can-challenge-the-big-four-in-america.html . Also you might find of interest an interview the other founder of the site and me did a few weeks back with ESPN Soccernet, which generated lots of comments from NUFC fans around the world: http://blogs.soccernet.com/newcastleunited/archives/2011/11/more_and_more_we_are_1.php .

Cheers, everyone. I'm plotting a visit to Newcastle to see my first match in person, hopefully in May. Can't wait.
