Today I had a meeting with work at the CCS perfect for me really as itâs also my Birthday LOL happy days. Obviously I was even more delighted to see the whole first team training at the ground today. Unfortunately I didnât see any new faces training or walking around but we still have time. I did however get to watch the lads training and can report that the whole squad seemed to be training which is good news. Big ben Turner however seemed to be training on his own so maybe a slight niggles or fitness test of some sort. He did however seem fine in what training he was doing so should be fine for the weekend. On a far more positive note on the far side going over a tough little session on his own with a coach was Nicky Maynard. Whilst he was obviously doing a light training session he was working very hard on his movement I.E jumping turning and running to I guess help strengthen his knee. He looked good and between drills got a ball to his feet messing about doing step overs volleys and so on he looked sharp fair play.
Thank you spy in the camp. Hope Big Ben is okay for saturday but if not I'm sure Baby Ben will fill in well. Could be why he was subbed in the Development Squad game the other day? Keep him fresh for Saturday. Good news on Maynard which confirms what Malky has said this week.
Malky has strenuously denied that Nicky will be ready before next season on the basis he wouldn't want to cause any lasting damage through rushing him back, but.................... I mentioned on here a few weeks back that I'd been reliably told over the Xmas holiday by someone totally unconnected with the club that Nicky would be in training before January was out, and was looking to be match fit around Easter time. The info was based upon his recovery and physio work which had exceeded earlier expectations. Whether Malky and the club's medical staff will want to risk him is another matter.
If things are getting tight in the run in we may see him if we're desperate fo a goal. If we are relatively comfortable then no chance.
Trust me whilst he was obviously on a separate training program to the rest and working on his own with a coach. He looked far too sharp and had no issues doing the moves and exercises he was asked. He was also out on the pitch for the same amount of time as all the other players. If I was to place a bet I would go with sparks comment about being back around Easter time if needed. Unless of course he dose have some sort of set back.
red army ........some people are so petty over colours yet the only other alternative was going out of business and starting again, and yeah i would be up for that myself but im not stupid enough 2 think there`s a passionate cardiff fan somewhere thats gonna come in and make it bluebird heaven for us......lets be honest the taffs are either 2 tight or 2 fking skint 2 help out and thats the truth>>>>>the jacks were very lucky with the timing when they went bust because clubs were worth fk all and didnt have over the top debt through unrealistic wages at the time either>>>>>these days its a ticking time bomb waiting 2 implode ........so the fact of the matter is i`d be happy for us 2 play in white or pink for a sugar daddy thats given us realistic chances of promotion automatically. ccfcrtop maynard may well play again this season dude>>>>it wouldnt harm our chances if we could get 4-5 games out of him .>>>cheers for the info
