few can argue our poor track record in loan signings down through the years now the dust has settled, Feel able to discuss other promoted sides again. Aston Villa this season had Tammy Abraham’s, Tyrone kings and el Ghazi on loan. Impressed me most times I watched them and a long way ahead of what we usually get. If, as it looks increasingly likely, we will be dealing almost exclusively in loans to bolster our team, we have to sign quality ones, not cheap or injured or unproven ones at championship level

Who knows, but if (as reported) Bielsa has been promised 1 or 2 of his targets, i am presuming we are intent on keeping all our star first teamers, because otherwise adding just 1 or 2 loan signings to a depleted side won't be enough.....again.

Now looking likely that we will have bits of money coming in for the sale of Cibicki, Ekuban, Sacko, Ideguchi, LDB and knock-down price of only £2m for Saiz, which in effect ease our wage bill. Few more will be released like Denton, Coyle and Anita.

Increasingly likely that Jack Clarke will be sold to Spurs or Man City for around £12m, some of it being used to buy a top player who can guarantee experience. Clarke is for the future and we need something for now and why he will be sold. Shackelton is now more highly thought of than Clarke.

Kiko and Pearce also look like being sold which could mean Joe Hart arriving

The bulk of our inbound players will be from the loan market and Bielsa wants players from Prem clubs? well that didnt work last season so suppose we will wait and see who they are. Harrison is wanted back and he was the best of them but has a lot to do to live up to his £20m price tag. It seems promotion would have seen a deal done to buy him?

Improvements required in goal unless Bielsa sorts kiko out? Also on the wing, at number 10 and in front of goal. Expect one signing and 3 loans

The key thing for me is who will be doing the selection. I hope its not Orta, his record is hopeless in the loan market. Hoping part of the delay with signing up was getting a guarantee he would have total control over the selection process. Id very hopeful if thats the case, if its Orta, expect more mediocrity

Izzy Brown was awesome the season before we took him. This season just finished, Wilson, Abraham’s, Ghazi you’d take them all. I’m hoping we can agree a couple of early loan signings and even a couple or permanent ones. Bielsa for all his greatness seemed to have far more loyalty towards those able to travel preseason with him, we need our major players settled and catching the eye of Bielsa before leaving for preseason

Not forgetting Tyrone Mings - wealth experience and equally as good at left back or centre back.

Can’t see Bielsa being interested in Joe Hart, he can’t use his feet. It’s why Pep got rid of him.

FYI, in Scotland, Tyrone Mings is actually a statement of fact.

He can't dive or jump anymore either. About six years past his best.

At least he won't be rushing off his line causing havoc in the defence, he can't run either.
