Something I meant to mention after going to the U21 game against Chelsea was how friendly all the staff at the Club had been (bear in mind it was a miserable, pouring wet evening). It caused me to reflect how, on normal match days all the stewards have a smile and we we have been greeted on the way down to our seats with a cheery "hello, hope you enjoy the game". Don't know if it's a follow on from the 'Olympic Experience' but, anyway, I thought this little bit of news (and credit for the Club) was worth a mention. Fulham are one of four clubs to recently have won an award for customer care. The title of "Unsung Hero" went to Tom Guthrie, the Club's Supporter Liaison Officer. The only place I could find any details about this was on the Liverpool FC site (nothing on ours or the Premier League site) so here is an extract -
Here is the Premier League's accolade to Tom and an interesting insight into the Club 'behind the scenes' from Tom himself - http://www2.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/news/fulham-tommy-guthrie-on-fan-service.html
People over at the unofficial CC are not pleased, as they judge him responsible (fairly or unfairly, you choose...) for the abrupt closure of the old Cottage Corner forum. Well done to Mr. Guthrie though.
Welcome BenjyUK ... first word of warning, don't engage QPR trolls who come to our forum looking for trouble. One will be by shortly to prove my point.
