This seems disturbingly like our situation 2 years ago, a surfeit of overpaid players, a declining league position leaving the club in the relegation zone, lower than average attendances for the league and a troubled stadium development project.

Hopefully with their player contracts run out before the money does, unlike the reverse which happened to us!

I'm assuming that they are going to post a further deficit for this year also as they are saying that the contracts don't expire until next summer and are therefore going to be paying these wages they can't afford until then. The alternative is to have a fire sale and that will mean taking less for your better players as we know. Nobody wants your average players. Purchases will then be lesser skilled and the fight to stay in that league will be harder. Yes it sounds all too familiar and it is likely to be the case for a lot of clubs in that league. You have to ask yourself why these clubs offer such wages when they know they probably won't be able to pay them. The people who run these clubs are supposed to be successful business people yet when it comes to football somehow they wear blinkers and their brains turn to mush. I really hope for the Bristol fans that the worst fears do not happen.

They offer the wages with their fingers crossed..............hoping to reach the promised land.............of SKYWORLD...........and the pot of gold they throw at each Premiership club.

Sky have now got their sticky little fingers into.............next years GRAND PRIX circuit..........grabbing 50% of the races off the BBC.

I stopped watching it when it was on ITV........countless adverts meaning that you lost the race for awhile.

But when it came back onto the BBC, the whole Grand Prix season was brilliantly done...........pit lane walk etc etc..........and I watched again.

With Sky doing it on it's own Grand Prix channel......it will eventually be another front line sport lost to the money men.

I have always been anti-Sky...........so thats half the live races lost to me.............they'll only be the World Tiddly-Winks Championship left one day.

PS........I do miss Test Cricket and the big Rugby matches.

mouldy..........Why.............did you float them off down the river.............but they always came back.

Sensible.........with you down your cellar all the time..............you were probably tiddly all the time anyrate...........had to count the crisps half a dozen times.........getting a different answer everytime.

Gat-Po........or should I say Mrs Bean.............you havn't got a beaten up old Mini have you.............If you shopped ar a reputable supermarket they would only use plastic bags with one opening.............and that would be at the top.

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly a subject is abandoned on here and for a thread to be completely changed into a carry on film or slapstick. This was about Bristol City being a wee bit in trouble and ends up being about poo sticks and even nappies. I hold my hand up to being as bad as the rest of you given the tiddly winks saga.

Bristol City are in the **** so stop talking poo.

There must be something in the male psychi about lavatorial humour. My grandson thinks poo and fart jokes are hilarious and he is not quite 9 yet.

It's their heightened sense of smell mouldy. It is already honed at that age so they smell fear in the male of the species at it's faintest later in life.

I tell you Sensible any sort of odd smell around and I get it in the neck from her. Sometimes I know nothing about it until I hear 'Oh dad'! I'm sure a lot of the time its my boy.

She is only practicing mouldy for later in life. Some poor sod will eventually get the benefit of a sharpened tongue honed to perfection from her early days. By then you will be off the hook.

I starting to feel guilty as I must admit that I sometimes don't help myself.
