Your team and fans more than played their part in a very enjoyable Cup Final.

All the best for next season.

Just my opinion but I thought there was only one team playing in this game and it was Man City. We were abysmal, worst we've played in a long time. Very little desire and heart, especially from Jones, he drives me nuts when he's like that.

When Jones is on song he is virtually unplayable, problem is and this is in a Sunderland shirt thats about once in every 6 games if we were lucky.

I have to agree with your assesment though, Man City just wanted it more, for the 1st 10 minutes you were just lumping long balls up and it was just coming back all the time. You did get into it a little more, but MC were definately the better side on the day.

Its a meaningless cliche to say 'they wanted it more', Stoke's gameplan didn't work as well as man city's thats all.

Would it be more meaningful if I said Stoke wanted it less?.

Stoke bottled it plain and simple. They got a case of the Tim Henmans and Rory Mcllroys, the occasion got too big for them. If we didn't bottle it and played like we had done lately I reckon we would have won, as Man City weren't at their best, mind you I think they worked out pretty quickly they weren't going to have to be at their best.

I'm sure they wanted it as much as each other, but that isn't the most important thing in winning football matches.

Prob is fellas ...... we av prob shot our bolt ... the boys av run themselves into the ground squad not big enuff to rest the top players and we av prob paid for that ...... its a shame but its life .. the boys av been magnificent the last 2 months watching some of the best football for many a year !!!
    We all know that ...
Just a shame the injuries caught up with us ......
Its simple we need to spend 20-30 mill in the summer to move on or stand still ....
This really is not the old rocket science equation
    UTP
fingers crossed fellas we need a little transfer movement and WE WILL move on its all in time
