What do you think has been our best performance this season?

Maybe you have only seen a few matches, but it would be interesting to know what you think. Perhaps you haven't seen any games and have to be a bit more creative with what you have read, seen highlights of, or watched on Sky.

We have spanked a few teams this season, but sometimes a grinding 1-0 can be a thing of beauty. For me, though, the best 90 minutes must be the 2-0 home win against Sheffield United. The away win over the Blades was great, but the victory at The Valley was a brilliant all-round display where every single player earned his corn. We were rocking that day!

    Over to you...

The relief after the first game against Bournemouth was a joy; they were a big team last season and I was pessimistic, apprehensious at best, over our chances for this year. The perfromance, new boys and result instantly allayed my worries. And I love the first game of the season anyway.

The Huddersfield win was very enjoyable too.

I agree about 'udders. Sheff weds away too, both at the top and it was a time when they were gaining results.

Also, was it Carlisle at home where we played that wonderful sweeping play which resulted in wiggins setting up... JJ was it? With the header? That was a wonderful game.

I'd also mention the cup game against reading. Whilst I didn't go, the way it was spoken about afterwards made me very envious as it sounded as if our second team dominated a top championship team.

Sheff Wednesday away we were bombarded with long balls the whole game, Jackson scored a great free kick and Morrison was Collosal at the back

First half v Carlisle and the Udders game are my highlights so far. Preston was interesting in that we scored five without playing particularly well.

The answer is probably Carlisle at home or Hartlepool away, not that I saw either of those. Attacking-wise that was our peak.

Defensively speaking, the wins over Sheffield Wednesday and United, plus Brentford away, take some beating

1-0 win against Tottenham with a goal in the last minute of injury time :) at the Valley.

The fact that the Spurs supporters were so gobby throughout the game made it even better.

Change The Valley for WHL, and a certain Mr Powell scoring a late goal and you have one of my favourite games of all time.

    Sheffield Wednesday away.

Determination. Organisation. Atmosphere. Character in the face of provocation. The Goal.

That was a beautiful 1-0 win, Tewks.

Preston was a strange one. Were we great? Or were they bloody awful?

They were absolutely terrible, Ponders - then they made a couple of substitutions and actually started playing.

I thought for the first half hour against Preston we were awesome!! The Hollands goal in the second half is my goal of the season so far!

Udders on Sky was my personal favourite although I haven't been to that many games tbh

Yep, its one of my favourite three or four of the season too. Stephens v Bury, BWP v (I think) Exeter when he played a gorgeous 1 -2 with Hayes (remember him :emoticon-0137-clapp) and Kermo away at MK Franchise (Green's dummy :emoticon-0150-hands) were the others.
