Some club out there potentially have a brilliant number one keeper. This guy has all the tools to be a brilliant number one, especially in somewhere like Spain, where there is less physical contact from set pieces. I hope we get a decent transfer fee for him.

Isn't his contract up at the end of the season?

Best #2 in the country IMO. Shame Chez is too good as when he had to come in he's been brilliant

Some reports in the media are saying he will definitely be leaving

    Um, ok?

Everyone was calling him Flappy just yesterday it seems. People's memory is like a goldfish around here.

I think that's just his nickname now, because he still has that element in his game (did one flap today), but he has proved his doubters wrong in the past year or so with his saves, calm assured nature and has also flapped less. As I said in the OP, in somewhere like Spain he would be an outstanding keeper, because refs there blow up every time there is contact with the keeper on set pieces.

Personally i've never called him "Flappy" for the simple fact I never abuse our players

I think the Flappy nickname is used affectionately now, almost sarcastically to show that he has overcome his previous flappyness.

I think it's a pretty funny nickname tbh, don't see it as insulting or abusive towards him at all. He earned the nickname from his flapping at crosses but then improved dramatically but the nickname stuck.

I refer to oxo as oxocube as well...

Yep apparently he was offered a contract along with Sagna but as yet neither have signed. At least Sagna has said nothing but I'm pretty sure I heard stories confirming he'd leave. It's a shame as we know how good he can be when on form. Sadly just as he finally showed some consistency he gets injured and Chezzers shows even better form. Someone will be getting a very decent keeper in the summer.

I'd like to thank him for upping his game, forcing Chez to up his game further, that way, we now have 2 top class keepers, it'll be a shame to see Flappy leave, no other team can brag about their number 2 keeper...

Fabianski is a GREAT shotstopper and always has been.

However the rest of his game is mediocre. The guy is and always will been prone to ridiculous errors.
