Cheers, U21 games are so random. I do think Ward-Prowse and Stephens will have travelled though based on 1st team injury concerns. Good win for the lads over the olde enemy
https://twitter.com/TomCoull top tweet from here: Aaron Ward-Prowse, younger brother of James, called up from U16s. Turnbull & Mugabi only survivors from Bolton win. 11am start. #saintsfc 2 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® thats why i said it was his younger brother - bit of a silly mistake
I wondered how Ward-Prowse junior had managed to sneak under the radar. It's Ward-Baptiste. Maybe we are just trying to confuse Wenger.
A friend of mine scored a header against the skates for the u16 today! Needless to say he'll be getting a pat on the back on monday!
They didn't they went into Staplewood to train. Hoskins did travel but didn't make the bench. The U18 match was at Wellington BTW not Staplewood.
Omar Rowe and Harrison Reed are two fantastic little players, both have had injury problems recently so good to see them back in the fold. Rowe in-particular sounds like he had a good game from those updates; 2 assists to his name and managed to strike the crossbar from a free kick as well - Chamberlain/Puncheon type player with bags of pace and power, hope we see more of him in the future. Good for the U18's X1 to get a rest today as well after their FAYC win against Bolton, much deserved. Overall what a great day for Southampton Football Club. The kids did the double over the Skates 2-0 and 4-2, and then the first team stormed to victory and beat Forest 3-0. My word! The future is bright!
Is sympathy also why your academy team lost to us earlier this season? http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/Squad...tures/Academy-Win-South-Coast-Derby-2796.aspx
Shh...don't tell Pompey that most of our U18 players don't play in that League because they are too good.
