Epsom 225 Epictetus goes with a measly 3/10 was 3.5l behind augista rodin lto i wont be backing at them odds but i am sure plenty are . I will just watch and see if any of the other runners catch my eye .

Looks like Punchestown has caught the "small field uncompetitive Grade 1" disease - at least the first 2 Grade 1s on the card. The KPMG Champion Novice Hurdle has just 5 runners and Facile Vega at 8/13 and the Champion Chase has 6 runners and Energumene at 4/11. At least the Champion Novice Chase looks competitive despite 4 of the 6 runners trained by Willie Mullins (but no obvious superstar). Tomorrow looks better ..............
Paying out on the first 4 so i dont really blame the trainers if they have no chance , i really think they should at least try to cover the costs with minimum payments as an insentive . I have seen some with prize money paying a few places more which is an incentive . lets face it if there is a cert on the card why waste resorces
