I really like the look of DIVINE RULE 7/1 Lingfield 3:10 tomorrow. He is 4lbs higher than his C&D win but he looked better than that when he won. The yard are in a rich vein of form right now and hopefully he can step up to the mark.

Having a speculative dabble on NINETY MINUTES 25/1 Lingfield 3:40 mainly because the yard is emerging from a long spell in the doldrums and they are in the main overperforming. This one looked pretty decent when scoring on the Kempton AW as a juvenile earning a rating of 76 but has consistently looked poorer with every one. Now off 57 anything like a return to within a stone of that juvenile form would see him capable of going very close here. In the last two weeks the yard have saddled four winners and two placed horses from 9 runs, he looks worth taking a punt on!

Have backed this horse several times in the past and it came a close second at 50/1 a few runs back but it appears to me that it runs best over 7 furlongs but they keep throwing it in over the longer trips. However saying that I will be on again today just in case.

Morning, you types. Nothing for me today.

The most important thing re racing today is that Mr Henderson, the forum’s favourite trainer, is working a lot of his string at Kempton Park. On the back of these performances will he determine who goes to Cheltenham. It’s ‘make or break’ for quite a lot of animals.

Hi SBC - I have a rare opportunity to meet the forums favorite trainer later this week in a much awaited Cheltenham Festival night - he will be accompanied by the incorrigible Lllewelyn and Statto himself as MC ... let me put it to the forum .. if they could ask the serried deity ONE QUESTION .. what would it be .. send forth your questions and if they are legal then I'll try and press the great man ...

A bit of a boring one I know, but mine would be "Mr Henderson, which of your fine steeds represents your best chance of visiting the winners enclosure at this year's festival".

If he didn't answer Sprinter Sacre I'd go into the corner and sob quietly to myself .....................

Catterick 200 Danceintothelight 230 Triumvirate 300 The Alamo
Leicester 220 Cosway Spirit 250 Whiskey Chaser 450 Iona Days
Lingfield 210 Rainwind and Fire 240 Lashkaal 410 Keep Kicking

    RVarian e/w double 1st 2 races at Lingfield & Sticks 2.

Got to say must be a wee slap in the face for Ryan Moore to travel all around the world being victorious
and returning to the UK and only able to muster one ride at Lingfield! <whistle>

No surprise to see last years World Hurdle winner More of That pulled out of this years contest. A wide open race by the looks of things.

    Outsiders that could outrun their odds today;
Lingfield 2:10 SAMMYS CHOICE 50-1 ran very green on two starts thus far but full brother is a 6f AW winner and this one is open to improvement.
Lingfield 2:40 DESERT MORNING 20-1 shaped with some encouragement at Kempton last time and the step up to a mile and a quarter should suit much better.
Catterick 2:00 VOLCANIC JACK 25-1 hasn't beaten too many rivals of late but having been pitched in against Irving and Blaklion that is hardly surprising. This grade is more in keeping and has run well for a lady amateur in the past.

Ekbalco, what a great honour for you and I’m sure that there is not one, and I do mean not one, person on the forum who isn’t jealous that it is you rather than them who will be in the presence of Mr Henderson.

My ponderable to the great man would be, ‘Mr Henderson what a great honour it is to be in your presence. You are undoubtedly our sports shining star, its leading light and the most instantly recognisable figure on the racecourse. Others may come and go but you, Mr Henderson, have remained the main protagonist for over 30 years. God bless you, Sir. Mr Henderson you have Cocktails At Dawn entered in the novice handicap chase on the opening day of the meeting. He was purchased for a huge 6 figure sum but to date fences and him haven’t been the perfect fit. Do you agree that he could potentially be tremendously well handicapped off 135 and what steps have you taken to improve his jumping?’

Oh, how I've waited for this day......

Italian prop Martin Castrogiovanni is out of this weekend's Six Nations game against Scotland, after being bitten on the nose by a friend's dog.

    HOW DOES HE SMELL ?

Does the forum's favourite trainer dress to the left or right?
