Donald McCain loses 50 horses after Paul and Claire Rooney pulled them out of his yard.

Commenting on the decision to the Racing Post, Paul Rooney said "is it any ****ing wonder? I've got more chance of the Queen tugging me off than success with this bloke. People say 'oh but he trained Peddlers Cross'. Crooked ****ing Cross more like. Son of Flicka the bastard. It's all he ever does, feeds them 5lb of mincemeat before the race all year and tries to pull off 66/1 gambles. **** him. I'm approaching Howard Johnson and getting it done properly."

    McCain declined to comment.

Ladbrokes are doing my f ing noggin in , they are a waste of space all the do is advertise false odds to waste your time . They have put up 10s for rural celebration which is a damned generous ew on atr yet7s is all you can get .I am prettysure this is false advertising especially as it has just refreshed on atr at 11s but stays on 7s onthere site . BOYCOTT comes to mind just like D M is getting.
of course there will be cheats but surely ladbrokes should be brought to justice for there underhand techniques (its not as if comparison sites dont work with live prices because they do ).

This heat really does highlight the vagaries of the weight for age scale. Those terrible old rogues, the Pipe’s, have made the unusual decision to run a 3YO, at this point of the season, in an all-aged handicap - my old pal, Impulsive American. Both Shimba Hills and Impulsive American are rated 112 but because of the above mentioned weight for age scale Shimba Hills must concede the Pipe horse 17 lbs! Seems very harsh especially when you consider Impulsive American is hardly some wet behind the ears juvenile as he’s had a total of 12 races.

Not betting as I think Impulsive American is short enough but do think this concession really will make it very difficult for Shimba Hills this afternoon.

Nice to see Willie Mullins communicating plans for some of his stable stars ......................... Faugheen goes for the Morgiana, Annie Power for the Hatton's Grace and Vautour coming over to Ascot for the Amlin 1965 Chase. Can't wait :)

I see that Bill Mullins chap is saying that Paddy Power’s sister will again be aimed at the ‘Mares Hurdle’ at the Cheltenham Festival. They really need to make that ‘Mares Hurdle’ a 0-145, or at a push a 0-150, contest as it is doing nothing but dilute the quality of the meeting, like a couple of other ‘new’ heats do as well, and as a result the Festival really is at risk of becoming little more than a parody of its former self. It is totally, totally ridiculous that an animal rated 162, and who is maybe capable of considerably higher, is running in a ‘sideshow event’ rather than one of the main contests.

Now that we have a ‘Mares Novices Hurdle’ on the agenda as well at the Festival the quality of the likes of the ‘Supreme’ and ‘Neptune’ will also suffer. Although had this race been staged a few years back I, possibly, wouldn’t have had to watch the worst ride ever given a horse – Mick Fitzgerald on Amaretto Rose in the ’07 Supreme.

I stopped using them about 2 months ago, been going in same shop for just over 25 years and they really peed me off. It was when they claimed spend £5 on footy and get a £2 free bet. They sent emails, advertised it in shop etc but funny enough this shop didn't have any free bets although there were plenty for all the holiday makers. I complained to customer service who liaised with the shop manager and they told me to go in as it was sorted. I worked out I'd spent about £400 during this promotion so I thought about £80 in free bets although I was happy for £20. Went to shop and I was offered a free £2 bet, what a f--king joke. Walked out complaind to customer services and the woman said what was I expecting!! Now use corals and most weeks get a free £10 bet.

It really warms my heart to see I'm not the only one with a hatred for that c**t McCain!! <laugh>

The 3:10 at Huntingdon looks a decent little race. Nigel Twisting-B*****d (not a fan of his either!!) has an interesting runner to take on one of Fergusons 4/11 shots. Having said that, I've parted with some cash and had a punt on DENBOY 8/1 from the Snowden yard.

Chicken stew and dumplings. The carrots that I usually complain about, because they are sliced too thickly, were curiously replaced by leeks. Sounds a dappy substitute but was a culinary inspiration. 10/10.

I see that £1 million ‘Chasing Triple Crown’ is back on the old agenda. To do it this term connections need to land the Betfair Chase, King George VI and CGC. Skybet go 10/1 it being achieved.

Stan James went 40/1 but best price is now 20/1. Won't happen as Vautour won't run at Haydock

I could see Coneygree giving it a fair shot but I think they are planning a tilt at the Hennessy with him. Perhaps the million bonus might force a rethink?

Sir Barney - I'd wait a few hours before passing judgement on the leeks, they usually give this regular reader terrible flatulence <yikes>
