Same ol Not 606, look at the negatives, sack him etc etc, lets all talk us down.We have only played 9 games, 29 to go.Anything can happen and we only have to finish 17th.
Ruislip, I'm not calling for his sacking but see my thread for a realistic assessment of the challenge ahead. I'll probably feel better in the morning!
**** it,get Harry in to motivate the players...I think he is one of the only characters to turn things round quickly, a bit like when Warnock first came to us(and we know how well we did from then on!).
Sorry kiwi but that is exactly why I pay for my ticket to see us beat these teams, I do not go to the games hoping we might only lose by 1 or 2 goals now that would be negative
As someone who has been prepared to give Hughes support during this first half of the season, it is probably fair to say that our next game against Reading will be the acid test. If we do not get ALL the points in this one, I will think otherwise of Hughes. Let's face it, Hughes keeps saying that he brought in a selection of players purely for their 'winning mentality' ........... well, that's all good and fine but what about having a manager with the same pedigree. The same applies to having a manager who can't win a trick. I've always held the view that a great manager will get the best out of a team of 'average' players, whereas, a team of stars will only perform to the ability of lessor manager. With our teams' current situation, there seems to be a lot of relevance to my last comment.
It's a fair point. We can hope but shouldn't expect anything from these guys yet. We've been very unlucky in the order we've played teams too and believe it'll come back our way soon. Also, Hughes 10 game thing (bearing in mind we have pretty much a new team) should take hold.
We played spurs seeking their first win at home, man city with a dodgy defence, everton without their best player, arsenal at their worst for some time.....
