Taken from Wales Online Cardiff are in talks with Coventry about their 6ft 3ins centre-back Ben Turner, while Mexican defender Rodrigo Inigo is on trial with the Bluebirds. Anyone know anything about him?
Two wide men please. Whatever their quality, we've numbers in the back 4. We've got 2 wide men! Unless we end up with Whitts back on the left or allow Taylor to play on the left flank. But that means someone else coming in at left back. A new centre back would be nice, but cover for Cowie and Conway are necessities.
If we are bringing players in to centre back we need to move one or two on. MM wants 4 players by Wednesday. Exciting times.
He certainly looks a good player and it's pleasing to see that we're casting the net beyond Scotland! Hopefully he'll impress on trial and we can sign him up and ship out Gabor. Although I'll always love him for his rugby tackle against Leicester he think it's time to move him on. I too would like to see a couple of wide men brought in - still have the faintest of hopes we'll see Bellers back!
This Rodrigo Iñigo Del Hoyo looks decent enough on that video, but he's not very bright though...or at least not going by what he has written on his shirt!
Videos are meaningless. I recall seeing a YouTube compilation provided by Preston fans when they were in the process of signing Paul Parry. Parry looked a world beater and Preston fans seemed over the moon at their star signing. The actuality was very different.
Inigo looks more of a full back than central defender. Hasn't played that may games in recent years unless Mexico have a very short season. Did well in what we saw though. If a right back, where does that leave McNuggs and Quinny? Turner looks useful and is highly rated at Cov although Birmingham were mentioned as being interested yesterday, particularly for when Dann leaves them. Robbie the Mole where are you - please tell us more. The rumour was Parkie to go to Cov as part of our deal and that being the case we would definitely need one more up front. While the Gunnar and Kiss are to come back and Darcy did okay at Pompey, we may still need another central midfielder plus a quick wideman which may or may not be Bellers. Papers are saying he will sit out his contract at Man City as they will not agree to pay him him to go to Spurs, Villa or Liverpool. If he is still there Thursday morning the chance of a return loan to us mutst go back on the table, if only to allow MC to recoup some of their outlay.
Agreed they're meaningless where offering a contract is concerned (although I think some managers have done that) but its good for fans to have a look at a player (especially when you've never heard of him) who's been linked to the club...such as this guy and the possible Malaysian trialist If the manager sees enough during the trial to offer a contract, well at least we've had a sneak preview
Apparently has passed his medical but is holding out to see if Brum make a move. Parkin up to Cov for a medical too. Guess we'll find out soon enough. Coventry Telegraph - Turner Coventry Telegraph - Parkin
Some of the tackling was first class that is not luck, he also gets free kicks. It is not often a defender sparks interest but I would love to give this Mexican a chance.
