He's just been on RH! Pretty sure of himself when he says only 2k would vote against the name change! These people are becoming more vocal and playing into AA's hands! He never came out with the old quote about watching "city for fifty years man and boy" but seamed cock sure!

That bloke's always ringing in. He used to sit near me at BP. Can't see him being a forum user. Best ignored.

The people that want to continue to enjoy Premier League football played by the best teamwe have ever had managed by the best manager should be more vocal.

Thats unless they want the CTWD crowd (an apt name here-since we may well die) to consign us to Div 1/2 football and my guess is that were we will end up if the Allams leave.

Why give up the best ride we have ever had for the sake of tradition. In the end tradition will die regardless consigned to the scrap heap by those that want to move on.

Yep, it's definitely our fault. <doh>

Also, I'd like to see your proof that we'll be consigned to the lower divisions. I've seen this excuse loads, but nobody actually has anything valid to back it up.

I'm not a member of CTWD - but I still believe their cause has a lot of truth in it. Why should I believe in the Allam's "Brand Management" theory when I know it's complete garbage? Just because we'd be Hull City A.F.C and Allam may leave - why does this mean we'd be a Div 1/2 team?

We've been HCAFC and been in the Premier League before, why not be a more sustainable Premier League team as HCAFC? Tradition doesn't have to die - I'm quite proud of our club's tradition and I feel it's what makes our club special!

R Humberside actually has a chance to do something here but will they will they ****. Did anyone here, Charlie??, last night? His summary of the Newcastle game, it was like a darts match!!! All came in doubles. They let him ramble for ages.

Do you have any proof that changing the name won't bring in extra income?

Do you have proof that it would?
The Allams' brainwashing will not work on me. Not all of Asia, North America and the Far East have affinity with Tigers. It's complete bollocks, the Far Eastern/American/Asian supporters support teams with SUCCESS, which incorporate a brand name. Manchester United didn't need to be called the "Manchester Devils" to be a successful brand out there.

In a way it's glory supporting, but they still do it. Sorry Ehab, but just because we're called "Tigers," doesn't mean people will flock to us.

There's nothing to suggest it will, and an awful lot suggesting it won't. It's impossible to prove either way of course.

In case you hadn't noticed, we're currently Hull City in the Premier League and we won't get relegated for keeping our name.

There is no indication that a name change would generate a penny/cent in extra income, in fact, everything currently points to a drop in income as the existing customers will reduce spending.

As others have said, have you any proof it will?

Because Allam clearly doesn't, otherwise he would've told us how much it would bring in.

If he says he is negotiating between two parties, why would he come out and say how much it is for one or both of them? He'll try and drive the price up, surely?

I'm not trying to get into an argument, I'm just not sure why everyone feels he owes it to them to divulge business plans. As mentioned by PLT there is no way of knowing if it will or won't bring in any extra income.

If there was proof changing a team's name would bring in extra income don't you think someone would have already tried it? Or has no other team ever employed someone who is such a marketing genius as Mr Allam? Just think how much stuff Man U and Liverpool could have shifted if the had anyone with the business acumen of Mr Allam involved with them.

Because quite clearly there isn't one and it concerns us that our club is being run in this way.

What he said was - "As has been documented in the media, we are currently in talks with various companies regarding our major sponsorship opportunities for next season. There are currently around a dozen or so teams in our division who will be competing for the same level of sponsorship, and we feel the Hull Tigers brand would give us an edge in any negotiations."

We already know that next seasons shirt sponsor has nothing to do with Tigers and the deal isn't subject to any name change, the rest of what was said was purely speculative, there is not now, nor is there ever likely to be, a sponsor insisting on a name change, it's utter nonsense.
