Evening all. Coming over for the Saints game but need to get back to Victoria sharpish after the game....It's close to 25 years since I've been on the tube so my question....what is the most reliable (quickest) way back to Victoria....Central Line/Victoria Line or Ham & City/District Line? Thanks for any input in advance. Keep the faith
If it was me I'd take Central to Notting Hill Gate, then Circle/District to Victoria. Less stops than the other routes and more choice of tubes at NHG.
Central line from bush to Oxford cirus, change for Victoria, two stops southbound from there. About 20 to 25 mins I reckon
Cheers lads Used to work in Victoria in late 70's and always travelled central/victoria lines from the bush, just wondering if still the quickest. That's that sorted.
Ive done this regularly but check for closures in the week before the game. Thats the exact route that gives the quickest travel time.
Going Central and Victoria is 9 stops, Central and Distict/Circle is 7 stops. Guess they need to speed up the District and Circle lines.
The trains run more frequently on the C/V lines, it takes longer waiting for the D/C line trains to arrive, plan the journey on the tube website if you dont believe me.
Take the overground to Clapham Junction from Shepherds Bush mainline and jump on any train back into Vic if you need to avoid any works or crowds 12 minutes to CJ 7 minutes to hop back in to Vic
It's definately the quickest way, the idea is central line gets you back in centre of London quickest, easy from there as you know. I've been doing field engineer jobs all over London the last few years and spent half my life on the tube travelling in between client sites
