Transfer window closes tomorrow ! Will we get our striker ? we have upped the quantity (but am a little concerned about the quality ) Who else will SD bring in to the club on a permanent basis? What will happen to our favourite rumour site when the window shuts!
All the answers to be learnt tomorrow !!

I don't think we've made a mistake letting Walker go back to the Boro with Hogg, Eustace, Jenkins, Buaben, Mingoia and Murray to pick from, but I'm in no doubt that he'll do very well there.

On the face of it I would like another striker, but who is out there on our budget who looks like displacing Weimann or Sordell? Are we really that desperate to keep all three of Deeney, Massey and Iwelumo off of the bench?

Not sure what our budget is for this player but if Deeney is going to get used out wide, Massey may get loaned out for his development which leaves 3 strikers Until Jan and 2 afterwards and I am sure most managers would want 2 forwards on the bench to change a game. I wonder what type of striker he is looking for - a poacher, a line leader, a willing channel runner or a support striker to link play?

Preferably a striker who scores? 4 goals in 5 league games (2 goals in 3 home games) is the problem.

Lack of creativity is probably more to blame for this stat than anything. Until Sordell's bolt from the blue on Sunday we had created maybe a couple of decent chances. He's also clearly feeling he has to create his own chances from the way he is playing. I think we've got enough variety up front but need a creative midfielder. Really not sure where we're going to get that from but the loan market is probably the best option for short term quality.

    On the BBC;

1135: Swansea City have confirmed to us here at BBC Sport that they are in talks with Fulham defender Rafik Halliche and Watford defender Adrian Mariappa.

Could really do with having no more outs....

Not sure if this would be a good move for Mariappa as such because he'd only be a reserve probably but money talks and if we got 2 million or so that might not be so bad.

This is the only interest I can remember for Mariappa, so maybe he wills ee it as his one chance for Premiership football - and no doubt for a rpetty good wage increase! No idea what value they have put him at though!

Radio 5 live say A Marriappa is in talks with Fulham. I am not his number 1 fan, so for me this is good news. Maybe not for others.

As a side note I see Joe Cole is joining Lille despite possible late interest from Villa. Clearly as sick of our summers as the rest of us then!

Does our window close now or is it just the prem? I would imagine a few loanees being shifted around in the next week as the prem squads finalise.

I guess it is a little north OFH but pretty much anywhere on main land Europe has had a better summer than us over the last 2-3 years!

    Joe Garner

    BBC transfer section says
1541: Watford are expected to sign Nottingham Forest forward Joe Garner. The 23-year-old has failed to score in four appearances this season

Aged 23 and this is what wiki says

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Garner

    Any thoughts?

Mapps will go to Swansea because tate broke his leg- chance at PL first team football that he really wants.
It's a shame because he has been brilliant recently :(

I have some feedback from a Forest fan, who really liked Joe Garner. He is young, and got a decent amount of goals for Scunthorpe (a relegated team)...last season.

Good competition for Sordell, Wiemann and Deeney...having 4 strikers is good over the season.

Oh yeah...and Iwelumo...........I'm sure he will find our bench nice and comfy.
