Slow news days but reports linking us with Lavezzi. Think his contract runs out in the summer so would be cheap. Quality player but what we need?
Not really. Since Jose left we have had no problem scoring goals, 3 against Palace, 2 against Brom, 3 against Everton in our last 3 league matches Problem is keeping them out at the other end...don't see how a striker is going to solve that.
I think I keep up with Chelsea regularly, I visit the home page everyday, but somehow missed Mitchell Beeney loaned to Newport
http://www.skysports.com/football/n...-agreement-with-chelsea-say-brazilian-reports I remember a few years ago us being linked with a big money move for him. His stock has fallen a lot since then. Not sure this is the right signing for us at this time but if it happens, good luck to him.
Would take Lavezzi. I've always liked him since he played against us for Napoli in the Champions league. He'll only last a couple more seasons as his game seems to rely on pace but he's out of contract at the end of the season so won't be expensive.
The news every manager and left sided player in the EPL wanted to hear Ivanovic has signed on for another year deal with an option for another.
Seems like we'll get Pato as long as Hiddink wants him.Jose agreed it before he left but Hiddink has reservations. I'd probably do it, Falcao is out for a while and Remy was absolutely horrendous yesterday.
Yeah, i know he hasn't played much but i did expect better than that. He was terrible! He was offside at least 4 times too. The latest breaking news is that he wants to go on loan so imagine we'll get Pato if he leaves. Even more recently than that Ramires is close to joining Jiangsu Suning. They aren't even one of the big sides in China but i saw them linked with Yaya last week too. Wonder what we'll get for him....
25 million is being reported. I think we'd have brought in a new striker already if we'd have been able to send Falcao back. Instead we are basically down to 2 strikers and 1 wants to go out on loan. Ideally we need someone who can play up top or at 10 rather than get another 9 who'll just be on the bench every week if Costa is fit. Apparently that Taxiera can do both roles so may be a sensible move. Though heavy rumours Liverpool are after him as well....
It's an ideal time to do it as far as I'm concerned. We're not going to win the league or qualify for Europe, so what's to lose. These lads could solve problems and save us loads in the transfer market. I just wish that somebody would show some faith in them.
I agree with you. I'm working on the basis they won't get that faith! It does worry me a little that Bamford for instance couldn't get a game at Palace who have no decent strikers!
