Being linked to Jackson Martinez today. Think he would be great signing. Im surprised he hasn't been snapped up by a elite Club already. He's quick, strong, good in the air and has a superb goals to games ratio for Porto. (60 goals in 91 apps) With Falcao out he's now Colombias main hope. If he has a good World Cup his price could rocket.
Portuguese league is probably better than the Dutch league and on a similar level to the French. It's not a bad league at all. He looks a good player.
Come on Puma... pull this off and I'll buy a pair of your trainers: http://football-italia.net/50385/puma-help-arsenal-balotelli
I was just wondering about this, Surely PUMA is going to want a big signing to help sell the new kit? He is certainly the kind of player you want in the big games. (Also Fabregas is a PUMA athlete.. bring them both in!!)
Its obvious Wenger didn't want him. However Chelsea have just signed a world class CF and AM (two areas where they needed reinforcement) so they have moved ahead of us. This better mean Wenger is going to buy atleast 2 WC players (ideally DM and CF) as not only has he passed on a WC player he as let one join a direct rival. Interesting to note that Wenger said not much would be done till after WC yet Chelsea and Liverpool have bought players while Utd have already made bids.
Trust me they have made a fatal mistake here with letting Cesc go to Chelsea. We've just let one of the best midfielders in the world walk into one of our direct rivals and that after they just signed one of the best strikers in the world. This will rear its ugly head later on in the season when we start struggling because we fluffed another transfer window. It happens so many times that you can see the pattern year after year.
Don't really know if Chelski needed an AM, they needed a striker more. And Fab has had a rotten season at Barca so he is hardly setting the world alight right now. I'd wait and see how he plays there before making recriminations. I do agree that we need to do our business sooner but then you know how Wenger is. We've been through this before.
This is what they fail to see. It's like the Allied armies allowing Germany to develop the Atomic bomb. This is sheer stupidity, even all the opposing fans are saying the same thing.
Yeah, that claim starts to look a bit absurd when two of the biggest signings this summer will see were of players away on international duty before the tournament starts.
