What I would like and what is possible are two different things. Based on what I have seen this season I would like to see the following go whether permanently or on loan:

    Ward - cart horse

Morison - can't find the ball or the net since January

Drury - great servant but now needs to step down a league

Tierney - been injured most of season and a bit long in the tooth now

Vaughan - injury prone and costing a fortune in 'not playing' wages

Wilbraham - tries hard but cannot score: out of his depth in Prem

Chris Martin - probably on his way to Crystal P or other points south

Lappin - out of favour for some time now so needs to move on

Not sure about Barnett or Korey Smith - seem to have been put way down the pecking order. Would like Naughton to stay.

Would like, but probably will not get, two reliable strikers, two Prem experienced CB's, two full backs. I think we have enough mid-field and certainly enough goalkeepers. Intriguing few months ahead.

Is that from a rumour you heard that? I always had the impression he was a lazy player which makes me think he isn't a Lambert sort of player?

i completely agree with you that he doesn't come across as a lambert type player but i have heard from one individual that he rates him highly. i think there may even have been a bit of transfer gossip about him in january which never came to anything. as i say, not who i'd go after - i've long been on record saying i want rodriguez here - but if brum don't go up i think lambert would be interested again, though wages would surely be a stumbling block.

He will only be 27 next season. He ought to be at his peak.

Probably is Lambert's type of player then, Morison is a lazy bastard. Yes, Yes, he's scored nine goals or whatever but was so long ago I can't remember his last one. Please don't try to defend him again Supers, he's lazy, his head's not right, move him on Pleeeease, nuff said <ok>

Yeah, I don't think Lambert will make the mistake twice, still think Morison will be here next season, and if he wants to be a Prem player for rest of his career this is his make or break season coming up

Jermaine Beckford has reportedly been transfer listed. Anyone have any opinions on him?

Not an actual prediction, but I think Morrison will go as will Ward, Chris Martin and probably Barnett, but I expect Drury/Wilbraham to stay. Not sure about Lappin.

Greg Halford from Pompey would be a good signing, also keeps up the Colchester connection. Good player, the sort Lambert could get the best out of.

i will be extremely surprised if lambert gets rid of the 25th highest scorer in the premier league no matter what anyone thinks of his 'attitude'. in fact, i think he'd be mad to do so unless he had someone pretty special lined up, and thats all i'll say.

Have you seen that warnock doesnt expect snodgrass to agree a new deal, but hopes to keep him till christmas. It will take a silly offer to buy him according to colin!

So santa will pull out the £8mil card again <doh>

On the subject of especially snoddy and rodriguez. I just dont get how clubs can demand such high money for players who have only 1 year left on there contract. Ive always believed once a player enters their final year they are usually sold for a cut price fee!? Well most of the time anyway.

    I'm sure Lambert said last summer that he was focussing on players with experience of English football because in your first season a player has to settle immediately and the squad isn't large enough to allow players time to adapt. It made me think that if we stay up he would look to Europe. So I think he will surprise us with names we have never heard of- the best young, hungry players from further afield. For the sake of argument I am predicting;
Tomas Pekhart FC Nuremberg (Bundesliga) FWD
Julian Schuster SC Freiberg (Bunesliga) MF
Fraser Fyvie Aberdeen (Scottish Premier League) MF
Achraf Lazaar Varese (Serie B) DEF

Got linked to him a couple of weeks ago along with Fulham, and Craig Brown said he's good enough to play for a top 6 side so he can't be too bad.

Theres also a striker that we've been linked with in the past who plays for hannover, dont know how you spell his name but its Mohammed something lol
