According to my mate, who mainly gets his information from one of his cousains who works at the club. Now I know most would say ''Ah, what a load of bull****'' but I had a chat with my mate yesterday(finally after not seeing him for some while) and he says we are in talks with 6ft 8' Lacina Traore who recently moved to Russian Club FC Kuban Krasnodar, although no transfer fee has been agreed YET, with my mate saying Kuban are asking for 15m euros. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lacina_Traoré

We are also in talks with Seb Larsson(yes I know not a surprise there), Matthew Upson , Victor Obinna(wages are stumbling block), David Vaughan, Nolito(Barcelona free agent) & Piotr Trochowski.

He says we have been in NEGOTIATION with Gervinho but are far off a deal yet. He says we have also been in contact with Wigan over the availability of yes you guessed it.. N'Zog.. Wigan looking for 15m though!

Well he did get the Nolan & the Willo deal SPOT on. BUT he also said we would get Pav(Spurs), the day Carroll left but it never happened.

Interesting news there! Matty Upson would be a good move tbh as would Obinna. If we got the players you mentioned in, I would be reasonably happy. Despite what Pardew says, we will not get CL quality players this summer although my deluded self may keep up hope!

Can't say i'm too excited by any of those names though. Zog yes if the price is right. Larsson yes so long as the wages are reasonable. Vaughn would be good as backup but do we really need anymore CM's?

Meh, not found of any of the names there but if we can get N'Zog at the right price, Lacina aswell wouldn't mind(not at THAT price), Larsson & Obinna I guess it'll be nice. Gervinho =

 

Can't talk of the foreign-based players, but Upson and Obinna are ****e, Larsson is Ryan Taylor MK II and although Vaughan is good, he's yet another CM on top of Nolan, Barton, Tiote, Gosling, Guthrie and Ben Arfa. Not needed.

 

Dont know anything of Traore, but he is a beast if he's 6 foot 8, especially if he has the build to match it. Larsson would be useful, I'd rather we plyed Kadar than Upson, Obinna's decent, Vaughan's OK on a free and if Nolito got into Barca's academy he should be a bright prospect.

Well my mate couldn't even say it correctly.. maybe I got the player wrong? He said ''Petiers Trockmotski'' & I quickly related it to the Hamburg player knowing he is out of contract, I thought this would be a Ashley-esque deal but he probably meant some Russian or Polish gem.

 

Upson is the most over rated defender ever.
