Two players from Yeovil have been linked Webster and Ayling I really hope that we can do a swap deal with Peterborough for Taylor and Assombalonga! Noises out of Peterborough are saying that they would like to have Taylor back! http://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/25216//?scrollto=post227743
I personally wouldn't want the two Yeovil players - definitely not good enough to take us up a level. As for Assambalonga, i don't know too much about the fella, but his stats look very impressive, and at 22 is a fantastic age (can't see him going for free).
Yeah wouldn't go much on the Yeovil lads. No disrespect but they're not at the level we should be looking at.Assombalonga? liked the look of him. Lots of potential if he can step up a league. Swap deal with Taylor. Nice idea. Unlikely. Fee would probably be wanted. And bring some revenue to club shop with all those letters on a shirt!!!!!
Assombalonga is the joint leading goal scorer in League 1 this season and he is big, strong and powerful. He can also defend against set pieces with his height! Definitely a Mick kind of player!
Well we know flair isn't high on the agenda. Be welcome with open arms if he came in then did a job for us tho. He being the big man and Mcg with the guile.
Don't know what I was just looking at. But. Jeremie aliadiere. Really!!!! Hardly pulled up daisies when he's been over here before.
I'm more worried about the wild fires decimating the county right now. If you haven't seen it yet, it's a pretty gnarly situation in SD.
We are good thanks mate. It's pretty bad, three days now with as many as ten separate fires burning. We have strong Santa Ana winds causing chaos and changing direction all the time pushing the fires along new routes and its classed as a state wide emergency. One fire is burning so hot that it's using so much oxygen it's creating its own weather patterns. Small whirlwinds with fire in and floating embers setting new areas alight. Most of it is in north county and I live in east county in La Mesa but there was a fire a bit east of here yesterday. The most screwed up thing about it is that they are trying to find out how many started naturally or if some were intentional. That many fires in one day is a tad suspicious. Well over ten thousand acres gone already.
Thanks for the kind words lads Investigators are already saying that some of the fires have on origin point along a road, leading them to think some may have been started deliberately, a terrible thing to think this could all be the work of an arsonist. Sorry for hijacking this thread.
No JWM, Santa Monica is west LA, they will be fine. So many fire crews are being called in from as far up as Santa Barbara that it does leave other cities short on man power though so it has a knock on effect all over SoCal (southern california). So far there hasn't been any looting or vandalism but that could start to be a problem too with so many neighbourhoods evacuated.
Holy **** SD. Just logged in for day and seen whats going on. Along with other posts thoughts are with you and yours and you stay safe. Too close for comfort.
I live near Yeovil, and for all those who want to snub the duo - do so at your peril. Both are very good players. Simply because they play for ' little Yeovil Town ' does by no means mean they aren't good enough for us. How many times have any of you seen either? I have about 15 - 20 times. Also - bizarre how good McAuley/Delaney/and Bruce have played premier league. Does make me wonder if it's more midfield defensive issues we've had as a club than actual defence...!
I don't think there's anything wrong with the players and I really cannot judge, that doesn't come into it for me. It's more that's not the main area I think we need to strengthen, the back line is where we are IMO at our strongest!! Everywhere else on the pitch we need to strengthen particularly on the wings, central midfield and upfront even GK
