With newcastle having pulled out of a deal for Gomis having agreed a fee of £8.5 million I wish we would step in and get him but I wonder weather Jol actually has that kind of funds Jol has pretty much come and agreed with us fans stating that we need a midfielder and striker, he quite obviously like Huddlestone and surely we would have been more attractive than Hull but we did not step in, also he wants Bent we have had two reported bids turned down and now it seems he's off to Palace due to us trying to haggle over 1 million pounds!!! This suggests to me that we don't have the funds we think have and we won't be seeing £8 mill spent on one player
I think the funds are there. Using Bent as an example, he reportedly wants £65k a week. This would be the stumbling block and not the million. Imo.
