I believe town have a stronger defence, midfield and now attack, and I will be disappointed if town do not take 3 points!

The odds must be on a draw with the two League 1 draw specialists facing each other but I go for a 1-0 Town victory with another Adam Reach special and a crowd of 5600.

Is anyone keeping a tally of our meagre efforts at prediction? I think the same people may be shining as usually do.

Although we are due a mega winner, and would hope for a 5-0 win to give the crowds who turned up a reward.

A very frustrating evening where we started out brightly but again failed to get the second goal. We let them back in with a soft goal and then got progressively worse with Colchester looking more likely to score the winner than us at the end. We are still poor up front - there seems little strength and very few purposeful runs into the box when sub Parry put some tasty crosses in. Lopez and Mcalinden both have potential but we are again falling into the trap of being used by other clubs to get their second (or third?) string players fitter and gaining more experience. We are failing to win games that are clearly within our compass and are still looking nervously over our shoulder at the relegation rather than aiming upwards towards the playoffs. Difficult to name a Man of the Match but I would probably go for Reach who got an assist for the goal and troubled the opposition at times with his dribbling.

Winfield MOM-the only one who managed to maintain consistency throughout. Reach became increasingly poor/tired in the second half.

    KDS,
I agree Winfield has been impressive in the last two matches but I am not sure he had an awful lot to play against last night though Clinton Morrison was a good player a fair few years back.

What did people think of Weale, I thought he was a little bit on the time wasting side and slowed the game down too much.

    Overall thoughts for discussion:

This season is starting to feel very average with a potential for disaster but no potential for zipping up the table. No complaints there then?

Last season was survive, is this season consolidate before 'pushing on'?

What changes do we need for a) January and b) next season to ensure a vibrant club (doesn't have to be stupidly successful)?

Are we the victims of our own mediocrity? But is it better than being a club that goes up and down? Yes, we have done a bit of that too!

Can we, as fans, do anything about it? This is not a cry for a trust because the ones in the league (not those outside the 92) are not exactly brilliant!
