Bar the magnificent performance of Austin I thought that El Hadji Diouf was brilliant today! Alot of people may not like him because of his off field antics but I thought he was great today.

Great football head and really calmed the game down!

Diouf and Austin signings of the season...

    Mark my words!

    MOT!

    <ok>

If he carries on like that he'll do better than I thought on the pitch. Still don't want him around compromising dressing room morale mind.

Re: Diouf and the dressing room - a coach from Doncaster said he is a likeable rouge and fantastic with the kids so here's hoping he's as popular here!! Looked calm and classy on the ball.

To be fair pal apparently he is great character to have in the dressing room !!, free signing great, if he keeps his head he could become a cult hero for us, I hope he does.

Was just about to say this Strach. Warnock stated he is great in the changing room, Donny stated it, and the way his teammates were high fiving him and the hugs at full time, the camaraderie is there. I think Diouf will offer less of a threat to the changing rooms than Snoddy probably did (that bit was my opinion and not based on any fact that I know of Snoddy causing problems in the changing rooms, just that I suspect he was not great there given his surly and churlish attitude in general at times)

    Who? Me?

    Seriously though, which bit?

Diouf is great in terms of morale or Snoddy might not have been?

I admit i completely agree you. Simon he isn't saying Snodgrass wasn't a great player for us, and was going round causing ****.

I think he may have felt he was a big fish in a small pond? A lot of footballers do that, and as much as i would like players to be loyal, very few are! He could have thought he was better than everybody else, Leeds relied on Snoddy, Howson, Beckford. No player is bigger than a club imo, if they think they are its time to leave.

Diouf is very passionate (see:rangers vs celtic) and that was a loan spell, lets see him fly kick some Barnsley midfielder in the face and score a winning free kick.

Oh and having now watched the game, Rudolph :emoticon-0152-heart

And to slightly continue.. Loyalty is rare, so here here for Ross, Becchio, White, Lee's and all the others who signed deals with us.

    I'm abit pissed btw

I don't often agree with Elmo but on this I do, time will tell of course but whatever you think of Colin he isn't a fool, I think Diouf is a gem of a signing !, I hope he proves his doubters wrong.

FFS there are too many of these ****ers agreeing with me. What am I doing wrong? <laugh>

Only Simon, Jerel, Chippie, ristac, boab, Mighty, Exodus (have I already mentioned him?), Littleyellowtwat, KennethBoring, and most of Norwich to break down <ok>

It's just a matter of time, and they know it <magic>

I don't actually think he was great. Think he had a few decent touches but often runs were nowhere and wasn't decisive enough with the ball, he also looks quite fat

I reckon if he does put his head down, lose the weight he may do OK but not much more. I actually thought Green did better while on the pitch, nothing special but worked back to help Byram alot which was needed and Diouf didn't do that enough. Don't get carried away because he had some decent little flicks

Although I have to agree about Austin, the guy is unbelievable. He is absolutely everywhere, if there was trouble he was there to deal with it. Dunno about the english commentator but the one on the australian one thought Warnock kept changing his position because he was making tackles out wide as well as in the middle, he didn't even seem to tire whatsoever. He must've got man of the match surely?

Totally agree with that assessment <ok>
I thought Austin was great and should have been MOTM, he is gonna be very important for us this season.

He was also very good in the air, won a lot of headers from corners as well as defending headers from goal kicks
