    'I was sure I could play in the Premier League for another year but there would not have been much of a buzz doing the same thing all over again with Tottenham'

    <laugh>

    Stevie G reveals that the Spuds were interested in signing him when he was leaving Pool and describes in no uncertain terms what a huge anti-climax to his career that would have been.

  5. So, instead, he's gone to play in the technically challenging hot-bed of USA soccer!
    <doh>

    Stevie G is as great a fantasist as you, PIXIE!

    Speaks volumes about Spurs that he chose the MLS over you lot <laugh>

  7. Or, it demonstrates that Levy wasn't that interested in signing him.

    Or, that Levy offered to pay him what he was actually worth, and Slippy chose to **** off to the USA to mug-off the Yanks, playing in a Mickey Mouse league, rather than buckle down to playing proper football.

    I trust people to make up their own minds and come to the right conclusion, PIXIE.

    In your parallel dimension maybe ?

    But in reality Gerrard gave the real reason 'that it wouldn't have been much of a buzz' playing for the spuds

    Pooch has come out and said that this is a make or break season for Lamela. We could have told you that at the end of last season Pooch, he's **** mate. Well at least he looks **** playing for Spurs. The lad is badly overhyped and Spurs got mugged off paying £30m for him.

    But that has been topped by Ozzie Ardiles with this little dazzler

    Lamela has previously been tipped as the new Lionel Messi in his homeland by Spurs legend Ossie Ardiles.

    I can't work out if Ozzie is trying to give the lad a confidence boost or he's just blatanty wumming the Spuds <laugh>

    A thread about Spurs seemed like a reasonable place to talk about Spurs. <whistle>

    Oh I think it's become far more multi faceted than just that. There's more than just the Olympic stadium to rib Spurs about :tongue:

    I doubt anyone would disagree including Spurs fans.

  17. It's a shame that you didn't come out with your critique of Lamela before anyone bought him, PIXIE. See, then, we'd all think that you are a man with insight, instead of a wumming tool.

    I don't think I'm speaking out of turn in saying that.

    It seems Spurs are at loggerheads with Chelsea over them using Wembley whilst Spur's new stadium is built.
    It had been reported that Spurs are so desperate in their attempts to stop Chelsea using Wembley that they have gone to the Sports Minister to get him to intervene.
    Why do Spurs always want stadiums that other teams have ?

    What stadiums have Spurs wanted that other clubs already have?
