Not true . Most people are struggling to live because of the people who are feeding their own greed .

Most people in the UK are not struggling to live - on average they have one of the highest standards of living the world has ever seen. People just like to moan and see themselves as victims.

You obviously have a queer idea of who "most" of the people are and what standard of living they enjoy .

Most people have computers and enough internet to come on here or the Guardian and to at least complain about how poor they are http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/rel/rdit2...seholds-and-individuals/2013/stb-ia-2013.html. Most people also have plasma televisions, mobile phones, annual foreign holidays and expanding waistlines. Most people even own their own homes http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/rel/censu.../short-story-on-detailed-characteristics.html

After leaving full time education I was on benefits until I found a job. Therefore, while offering my services for free I would have been receiving benefits. Dumbass.

    Correct.

We live in an age where there are utter ****s who think they are owed a living they have never earned, a job they have never earned, and benefits they have never paid for.

While some people live in empty houses with no carpets, curtains or electricity.

Most people do live fine. But there are some who don't.

    You total ****.

    1. I've never complained about being on the lower end of the pay scale. I survive better without lots of stupid ****ing trinkets like 60 inch plasma TV's and the newest smart phone every month.
    2. **** you, ****.
    3. I worked steadily from 16-19 then solid from 19-24. I paid my share of tax/NI without bitching about it, see 2.

*the only bit you got right <doh>

**** me, you can't counter-argue that most people are not 'struggling to live' without having to bow your head and observe a minutes silence for those of us who have no carpet?

It's a ****ing fact - me stating this fact makes me no more of a **** than a person who points out the sky is blue, or Rangers are dead.

After years of timber and laminate floors, carpets are becoming quite fashionable once more.

Much worse for dust mites though - a definite to avoid if you are asthmatic. Its probably best that the state doesnt pay for carpeting or any kind of soft furnishing really. Its the health of the nation you shortsighted fools have to consider.

I don't know where to start with your first sentence. Cracking that ****ey minutes silence line just shows how much of a ****ing joke you are.

It's a ****ing fact you've clearly never seen some of the messes us commoners have to live in. I've seen people offered houses with cracks the size of puds arse crack in the ceiling and then have the council tell them "Aye, but we'll give you a 20 quid voucher for B&Q and you can fill it in with some polycell eh?"

    It's a ****ing fact that you're a ****.

I was looking for a fight and you ****ed off and left me hanging.

    You ****.

I grew up in a house with big **** off cracks in the walls and no central heating. The reason I don't live in a ****ey house any more is because I got off my arse and went and got my own house.

Anyway, that's not relevant to the question whether most people are struggling to survive nowadays.

Me too Mike and for 8 years when I was working I was renting a place with no central heating or double glazing and a kitchen about the size of a cupboard. In the winter I used to get out of bed, turn on both the gas heaters and the fan heater in the bathroom then get back in bed for half an hour until it was above freezing point in the house.

Council/social houses have all mod cons these days, they even go round replacing perfectly good double glazing with new as the councils aim to exhaust their repair budgets by year end in order to justify the cost to the taxpayer.
