Topsy-Turvy League ?

Predicting results in this league is nearly impossible.

1.....We lose our first home game to Portsmouth.....so the consensus is disappointment, but they're a good team and should win this league...so it ain't the end of the world.
BUT.....they're drawing far to many games that they should have won...seven at the moment...they've only lost once, ...and they're 4pts behind us.

2.....Leyton Orient relegated last season, start well....they look a shoe-in for a promotion place...top of the league....scoring goals for fun.......fallen apart recently....dropped to sixth.

3.....Oxford only lost once this season, when they beat us in the week and stopped us scoring,
Then yesterday 1-0 up and coasting.....when Barnet...only one away point all season....score three goals in five minutes and eventually win 3-2....crazy.

4.....Newport favourites for the drop go to Bristol R and score 4 goals.....this is the Rovers that nearly beat us at Home Park...they've won five out of seven away...but only won once at home.

5.....Wycombe Wanderers started the season strongly and look good for promotion, having just missed out last season. But recently they seem to be in free fall...dropping to 10th in the league.

6.....Accrington Stanley looked a good team against us...but then lost the next game to Wimbledon at home 4-3.....ridicules result.

You can all probably quote other silly results......but the one thing is that Argyle are more reliable and are 4pts in the lead....having won 10 out of their 15 games....two more than any other side.

 

win another 20 and that should do us.

 

It's what I've been saying without all the facts plym. This league is bonkers and teams score loads of goals one week and look like world beaters and the next they lose to a nothing club or rather club doing nothing. That club goes on a bit of a run only to fall apart starting with another club doing nothing at that time. If you know what I mean. Consistency is the name of the game in any league. If you can hold your form generally then you will do well. No team holds it every game and that would be a giant ask anyway.
